Our Award winning 'Annual Primary Schools Twilight Tournament' is back. Commencing 12TH OCTOBER.

NEW For the 34th running of the tournament is a GIRLS ONLY section for Years 1 /2; Years 3 /4 and Years 5 /6, so girls get your teams together and have some fun.

Due to the club having new lights received from the PLAY OUR WAY grant we are now able to offer extra playing time to include girls only teams.

Sale United Football Club, on behalf of Football Victoria Latrobe Valley, would like to welcome Traralgon Olympians SC, Traralgon City S.C, Churchill United Soccer Club, Tyers Soccer Club, Newborough Yallourn United Soccer Club, Moe United Soccer Club, Monash Soccer Club, Falcons 2000 Soccer Club, Morwell Pegasus Soccer Club and East Gippsland United Football Club, along with all the Sale United Football Club teams, to the Football Victoria Latrobe Valley Region Junior Semi-Finals. We hope you all have a great day out and wish you success moving to the Finals.

Canteen will be open from 8:30am
Carpark: once the general carpark is full you can park along the surrounding streets. Please do not park on the nature strips or median strips as these are monitored by local law enforcement.
A friendly reminder that all Codes of Conduct are in place.
Changerooms: due to the vast number of games, the times are staggered so please follow the the order and change quickly and take your things with you so the next team can utilise the room.

LAUREL IRVINE: SUFC LEGEND

Laurel Irvine, the 2024 Football Victoria Volunteer of the Year, has just clocked up 175 games for the Sale United Football Club Womens team.

Laurel is hanging up her boots after she just played her final Senior Womens football match for the club against Monash on Sunday 23rd August 2026 and what a celebration it was. Completing her 175th game and a 10-0 win to go out with a bang.

Laurel was the person who got the Womens team back up and running in 2016 after there was no team in 2015 and she saw a need for it as there were junior girls who needed a Womens team to step into. She joined to play the sport herself for the first time, at the young age of 45, to make up numbers and set about a recruitment drive and got enough ladies to make a team, mostly newbies.

And what a team this one ended up being. After then President, JP, enticed Madelaine Breakspear from the NPL in 2019 appointing her as coach, and with Laurel by her side as Team Manager, they were a force to be reckoned with as they set about playing a good brand of football both on and off the field.

They won the League Championship and were Premiers three years in a row 2023, 2024 & 2025 with top 3 finishes in 2022 and 2026. They also won the the Browne-Huizer Cup four years in a row 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025…..who knows what 2026 will bring.

Laurel has been a playing member of every single Title.

For the past twelve years Laurel has been the main Coordinator at the club and has been a Team Manager since 2008. She has taken on many volunteer roles and has also been a female football advocate, not only at Sale but within the region.

We can’t thank Laurel enough for her contribution to the team, to the club and to Football in Victoria. Great job Laurel! You Superstar!

Junior Disco UPDATE

Due to semi-finals this Saturday and Sunday have moved the disco to 2 weeks down the track.
