This Saturday, we’re celebrating Wear It Purple Day at St Peter’s Parkrun.
Wear it purple is a national movement that champions LGBTQIA+ young people and reminds them that they are seen, supported, and valued.
Whether you run, walk, jog, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines, we’d love to see our St Peter’s community turn the course purple tomorrow.
Pull out your brightest shirts, socks, tutus, hats — anything purple goes. Bring your colour, bring your energy, and let’s make the course shine. We can’t wait to see you there.

St Peter’s parkrun is is ON this Saturday!
We know there'll be plenty of visitors in town, and if you are thinking about a shake out or (solidarity run) we would love to see you at Sydney Park.
A quick reminder:
🕡 First Timers Briefing: 7:50am
📣 Run Director Briefing: 7:55am
🏁 parkrun starts: 8:00am sharp
Our start location is at city farm in Sydney Park due to the construction works at the chimneys.
We are still looking for a few more volunteers, so if you are looking to save the legs until Sunday please reach out and be part of the team that makes parkrun possible.
See you bright and early on Saturday! 💙

We wanted to share some sad news with our St Peter’s parkrun community. Brinkley, one of our much‑loved four‑legged volunteers and namesake of “Brinkley’s corner” has recently passed away.
Brinkley was a familiar face on the course, always ready with a wagging tail and an enthusiasm for cheering everyone on. We know he brought a lot of joy to many parkruners on Saturday mornings.
Brinkley will be very much missed and most especially by his family. Please give him a nod or a treat as you run past “Brinkley’s corner” this weekend.🐾🌈
