We are currently recruiting for casual Learn to Swim Instructors across our Inner West Aquatic and Recreation facilities. 🥽

We are looking for team members who are passionate about water safety, committed to supporting children and who are excited to deliver high-quality aquatic education programs.

Our mission is to provide our community with the best swim school experience possible, helping children build confidence, skills and safety in the water. 🦺

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications:

✔️ Relevant swim teaching qualification, including AUSTSWIM or ASCTA accreditation
✔️ Current CPR/resuscitation certificate
✔️ Current Working with Children Check
✔️ Experience in Learn to Swim programs across a range of ages and abilities
✔️ Strong communication, customer service, teamwork and organisational skills

Our lifeguards are watching, but active supervision starts with you.

When visiting our Inner West Aquatic and Recreation facilities, please stay close, stay alert and keep your eyes on children in and around the water. Even a quick distraction can make it harder to notice when a child needs help.

For Keep Watch age guidelines, see below:

🔵0-5 year olds and non-swimmers
Stay within arms' reach

🟠6-10 year olds and weak swimmers
Be close, be prepared and maintain constant visual contact

🟣11-14 year olds
Maintain visual contact

Our popular Holiday Intensives are running across our three major centres this Winter, and everyone is welcome. You do not need to be currently enrolled in our Learn to Swim program to join.
