Beautiful start to the morning here at St Ives for the last round of the NSW Racing League. It's going to be a cracker if a day!
Great turn up for practise day for the NSW Racing League round at SIRCCC today.
Tomorrow is race day.
The drivers briefing will be 7.45am. Racing to commence at 8am.
If you have to still pay i.e. you didn't pay today, then we will have payments open from about 7.15am tomorrow.
Parking should be okay at least early on. Just a warning to not try to squeeze through or past any of council's large sandstone blocks that are there to keep you off the grass. Council does not want cars parked on the grass areas. And don't block any of the access roads around the track area.
Should be good day tomorrow. See you bright and early.

The NSW Racing League round this weekend will be different to a normal SIRCCC race meet.
The drivers briefing will be 7.45am.
Looking to get racing started at 8am.
If track is damp from overnight dew you will probably want to have some dirt style pin tyres to bolt on for the first race.
Driver behaviour will need to be in line with most major events.
After your race you will be expected to place vehicles on tables set up within the track fenced area and go immediately out to marshal.
Anyone failing to go and marshal immediately after their race risks losing their best qualifying result.
If you break your vehicle during a race, you cannot leave the drivers stand until the race is completed. You will be expected to step back to avoid distracting other drivers who are still racing.

An event you can put into your calendar for November.
Thanks to all who made it out to St Ives today. Was a good day racing.
Next weekend we have a special event on at St Ives.
The 7th round of the NSW Racing League is coming up.
You have to go to
https://clubmanrc.com/event/335
to enter.
There are limits to entries in each class due to the fact it is a one day race event with practise Saturday, racing Sunday. We might have a lot to get through in one day.
Hence racing will start earlier than a usual SIRCCC meeting.
Entry fee is also a bit higher than the usual SIRCCC race day but that is because there are trophies for the top 3 in each A final.
Head to the entries page to check out the classes and check out NSW Racing League if not sure about the rules for the vintage or truck classes.
Formal event rules apply for the 2wd & 4wd stock and 2wd & 4wd mod classes.
Vehicles will need to undergo scrutineering during the day.
I will post a few messages this week as I know many SIRCCC members might not have competed at an event like this.
Rules are more strict and need to be followed.
Additionally non regular racers of SIRCCC might benefit (and help us out) by following a few tips. E.g using shock tower protectors to reduce the chance of the shocks or top corners of the tower, ripping into the track surface (marine carpet).
Cheers,
Looking good for SIRCCC race day tomorrow. Registrations will open at 8.15am. Close at 9am so we can sort the heats. Reportedly a bit cloudy and cooler than today so the track may be damp initially, depending on any overnight condensation. A set of dirt style pins tyres are always a good thing to have in the kit in case things are a little slippery. Cheers.
This Sunday is SIRCCC race day. Everything is looking positive so far. Will update closer to the day. Will be the usual rego opening at 8.15am. Close at 9am so we can set up racing for the day.

A huge thank you to Drew for all of his time and effort organising and fabricating the roof for our drivers stand. It's been a long time coming to get the drivers stand finished and the roof installed. With help from James and Martin over a very extended day, they managed to get the roof up and capped off and boy does it look good! The club is so fortunate to have members like this that go out if their way to help improve the club and its facilities for all of our members and the general public to enjoy. I'd like to also thank Tanan for helping the club out with a great deal on the roofing materials. Thank you guys! We really appreciate you taking the time to help get this done.
See you all next week 😊
