OLYMPIC PEDIGREE JOINS THE BULLS. 🐂🏀

The Inner West Bulls are proud to announce two-time Olympian and Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Larry Achike as Strength & Conditioning Coach of our NBL1 East Women’s program for the 2027 season.

Larry brings a wealth of elite sporting experience and understands the preparation, discipline and standards required to perform at the highest level.

Working closely with Head Coach Danny Kordahi, Larry will play a key role in building the high-performance environment and standards that will underpin the Bulls NBL1 Women’s program.

The Inner West Bulls are pleased to announce that Terry Johnson has been re-appointed as Head Coach of our NBL1 East men’s team for the 2027 season.

After stepping in as head coach midway through the 2025 campaign, Terry did a great job establishing a strong culture in a new-look squad that achieved some quality victories through the course of the 2026 NBL1 East season.

Known as an outstanding development coach and a man with tremendous experience at a number of levels in basketball, ‘TJ’ is focused on continuing to build the men’s program as it strives to become a consistent powerhouse in NBL1 East.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead the Bulls Men’s team in the 2027 NBL1 season, “ TJ said.

“I'm excited to continue building on the strong foundation already in place and to develop a team that reflects the depth of local talent coming through our men’s pathway. Our goal is to create a group that competes hard, plays with purpose, and embraces the team-first culture that Bulls Basketball embraces.

“Bulls Basketball is a passionate and proud basketball community with a strong commitment to developing young players. I’m looking forward to continuing building strong relationships across the program and creating an environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and given every opportunity to grow both on and off the court.”

The Inner West Bulls are thrilled to announce Danny Kordahi as Head Coach of our NBL1 East Women’s team for the 2027 season.

Kordahi has enjoyed success across multiple levels of the Bulls program, including leading the U18 Boys to the 2022 State Cup Championship, back-to-back Youth League Men’s playoff appearances in 2025 and 2026, and serving as an Assistant Coach with the Bulls’ NBL1 East Men since 2022.

Now, a new challenge begins.

“I’m incredibly proud and excited to have the opportunity to lead the Inner West Bulls NBL1 Women,” Kordahi said.

“I’ve been fortunate to be part of some great success on the men’s side of the Bulls, and those experiences have helped shape me as a coach. I’m excited to bring that same competitive mindset to the women’s program.

“For me, this is about building something special — a team with a strong identity that competes on every possession, plays for each other and represents the Bulls with pride.

“I know there’s a lot of work ahead, but that’s what makes this opportunity so exciting. We want to recruit the right players, establish how we want to play and build a culture players want to be part of.

“We also want to create a genuine pathway for the talented young female players coming through the club.

“I’m excited about what we can build. I can’t wait to get to work.”

Looking for high-level competition at RydeX? Our Men’s Premier Competition is kicking off soon for 18G, Youth League, Waratah Men & NBL1 players.

📅 Starting Wednesday, August 26
⏰ Approx. 7pm–10pm

Games are played in 1-hour timeslots, with 15-minute fully timed games and fixtures continuing through the school holidays.

🏆 The season will finish with the Grand Final on December 9.
