$5,382 raised for Camp Quality. ❤️
Over six weeks, the three of us set ourselves a challenge.
Thousands of punches.
Lots of sore arms.
Plenty of laughs.
And one goal: to raise as much money as we could for Camp Quality.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our Raw Life community, friends, family and supporters, together we raised $5,382.
An enormous thank you to everyone who donated, shared our posts, encouraged us, or simply cheered us on along the way. Every contribution made a difference.
Camp Quality does an amazing job supporting children facing cancer and their families, helping bring moments of fun, hope and laughter during incredibly difficult times. We’re proud that, together, we could play a small part in supporting that work.
A special thank you to Camp Quality for everything you do, and for allowing us to be part of your mission.
This wasn’t just our achievement, it belongs to everyone who got behind us.
From all three of us… thank you.

BareBones Combatives is coming to Switzerland.
This September I’ll be teaching a 2-day Internal & External Weekend in Aarau, Switzerland.
Day 1 – BareBones Internal
This is about the person behind the skill.
We’ll explore the 5 Pillars, maps, models and principles that help you better understand your body, mind, emotions and behaviour under pressure.
Day 2 – BareBones External
This is about simple, functional skills under pressure.
Movement, striking, defence, manhandling and pressure drills, all built around the same principles.
You can do one day or both.
Day 1 gives you the internal map.
Day 2 gives you the external tools.
Together, they connect the whole thing.
This weekend is for martial artists, self-defence instructors, coaches, security professionals, and anyone interested in practical self-protection and personal development.
BareBones is not about becoming more aggressive.
It’s about becoming more capable, more aware, and more adaptable.

The 5 Pillars aren’t just things we train.
They’re how we diagnose what’s really happening.
When someone is struggling with a movement, a strike, a defence, a decision, or even their response under pressure, we don’t say, “try harder.”
That usually just adds more tension, more effort, and more noise.
Instead, we look through the 5 Pillars:
Balance - are they centred, stable, and able to move without fighting themselves?
Structure - are they using alignment and connection, or just muscling their way through?
Breath - are they regulating themselves, or holding tension and feeding stress?
Intent - do they have a clear destination, or are they just reacting with intensity?
Connect - are they moving from their centre, or are they just creating tension within themselves?
These pillars give us a simple way to spot the real problem beneath the obvious one.
Because often the issue isn’t the technique.
It’s not the punch.
It’s not the kick.
It’s not the defence.
It’s not the drill.
It’s the balance behind it.
The structure supporting it.
The breath regulating it.
The intent driving it.
The centre connecting it.
That’s why we use the 5 Pillars as a diagnostic tool across everything we teach - kickboxing, self-defence, combatives, movement, mindset, and pressure work.
Train the pillars and the techniques get better.
But more importantly, the person gets better.
Try less. Do more.
