🏃‍♂️ RUNNING FOR BEYOND BLUE 💙

Our Club Secretary, Craig Lyall, better known to many around the club as Scholesy, is taking on the Nike Melbourne Marathon on 11 October to raise funds for Beyond Blue.

Craig has been putting in plenty of kilometres and hard work over the past few months, all in support of a cause that means a great deal to him.

Beyond Blue provides mental health support, information and programs to people across Australia, and Craig is hoping to raise as much as he can to help support the work they do.

As Craig says in the video, every contribution counts. If you’re in a position to donate, even the cost of a coffee can make a difference.

We’d love to see the Rosebud community get behind Scholesy as he continues his training and prepares to tackle 42.2km in October. 💪

Donate and support Craig’s fundraiser here:

Good luck Scholesy, the whole club is behind you! 🌹💙

We’re proud to officially unveil the new Rosebud United crest and club identity, which will represent us as we begin our first season together in 2027.

Rosebud United brings together Rosebud Soccer Club and Rosebud Heart Soccer Club, uniting two clubs with their own histories, people and traditions into one football community.

A lot of work has gone into getting to this point. Over the past several months, both committees have worked to create an identity that respects where we’ve come from while giving Rosebud United something that feels genuinely new.

More than 180 members, players and supporters took part in the member vote, with the Future identity receiving 57% of the vote.

OUR CREST

At the centre of the badge is the new RU monogram, a symbol created specifically for Rosebud United, with the football above representing the game that brings us all together.

The years 1950 and 2010 remain proudly displayed on either side of the crest, recognising the history and foundations of both clubs.

OUR COLOURS

The same thinking has gone into our new colours.

Red + Black = Burgundy.

Burgundy brings together colours familiar to both clubs and turns them into something new that belongs to Rosebud United.

The aim was to create something that still feels connected to where we’ve come from, while giving the new club an identity of its own.

This badge will now represent our players, coaches, volunteers, families, supporters and the wider Rosebud community as we move forward together.

Thank you to everyone who voted, shared feedback and played a part in the process. We can’t wait to see this crest around the club and representing Rosebud United on and off the pitch.

ONE CLUB. ONE COMMUNITY. OUR FUTURE.

Welcome to Rosebud United.

Vale John Caldwell

It is with great sadness that Rosebud Soccer Club acknowledges the recent passing of club legend and Life Member, John Caldwell.

John arrived in Australia from Scotland in 1970 and quickly became an important part of the RSC community. Over more than three decades, he made an enormous contribution to the club as a player, coach and committee member.

He also ran the highly successful RSC Bingo throughout the 1970s and 1980s, dedicating countless hours to fundraising for the benefit of the club.

For John, Rosebud Soccer Club was always a family affair. His wife Patricia, a club legend in her own right who ran the canteen for many years, and their four sons, Ian, Craig, David and Glenn, all proudly wore the red and white.

John was a great character who brought warmth and happiness to the club. Rosebud Soccer Club was incredibly fortunate to have him as part of its history and community.

Our players recently observed a minute’s silence in John’s honour.

Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences are with Patricia, Ian, Craig, David, Glenn and the entire Caldwell family.

Rest in peace, John. You will always be remembered at Rosebud Soccer Club. ❤️🤍
