Out of one dusty workshop and into another!

I've been helping out at for a while now, and my latest project has been getting their router to a point where it's suitable to teach beginners on.

We're finally there, and ran the first introduction to CAD/CAM workshop this afternoon - not many community organisations you can join up to and learn how to use cool pieces of equipment like this for next to nothing!

More cool projects coming.

Brushing up on some dormant skills for making the most overbuilt wrist roller for the 2026 South East QLD Strength Series - we think this one is gonna hurt!

Another little project done for the year because I don't want to be welding in the heat đŸ˜…

2w PSET guitar amplifier using a Chinesium inverter. These modules are cool and cheap, but hella dangerous if you don't know what you're doing - without adequate safety bleeders they can hit over 400v (and don't discharge when it's turned off)! Trust me (I'm, surprisingly, a trained professional) - you don't want to keep guessing with this kind of voltage unless you know exactly what you're doing.

Chassis, eyelet board and the tube halos were something I designed and made, and it's got CNC cut timber feet on the chassis ends not pictured.

At the moment I'm tossing up between voicing it for cleans or high gain, but when I feel like getting back to inhaling some lead I may make it switchable.

Hope everybody has had a great year!

It's not always (really) hot gluing metal together - decided to level up my skills and (re)teach myself CAM after a few years of not doing much.

Managed to come across a great supplier of kiln dried Australian hardwoods, so knew I had to make a couple of cheeseboards for some Xmas presents.

I'm also running some workshops in Fortitude Valley in December on the basics of CAD/CAM, so if you'd like to learn how to make one of these bad boys get in touch (I can also just make you one of you'd like).

You know something you're building means serious business when it also requires you to build a flight of stairs to use it.

One final job to put the flooring in, and the Bavarian Deadlift will be ready for next weekends Nationals!

The frame for the 2025 Australian Strongman Alliance Invitational is now complete!

While it's a pain to work with, there's no argument that timber does make the best looking strongman equipment out there.

Can't wait to see this bad boy in action at the Royal Brisbane Show in only a few weeks time.

Starting to put together a little something something for the 2025 Invitational - it might be a pain to work with, but timber equipment always looks great!

As always, a big thank you to and .timbers for being hugely supportive of strongman - if you need wood, these guys have you covered.
