We’re asking all players, families and supporters to get behind our junior teams for one final big push! 🙌

And don’t forget — please stick around after the J3, 4 & 5 games for our End of Season Presentations as we celebrate our junior players, coaches, managers and volunteers and recognise all they’ve achieved throughout the 2026 season. 🏅👏

We’re swapping the turf for a sea change and taking Walking Hockey to Emu Park this Wednesday, 2 September.

Our upcoming working bees are all about getting our hockey facilities looking their best for finals — and we need our hockey community to get behind them!
Whether you can spare an hour, a morning or the whole day, every set of hands makes a difference. There’s plenty to do, and many jobs that don’t require any special skills — just a willingness to pitch in.
And if you own a gurney… please bring it along. This will greatly assist!
These facilities belong to all of us, and keeping them in great shape is something we can achieve together. Bring the family, bring a mate, and come help us get stuck in! 💪🏑

Finals Victory 🏑🩵❤️

Wanderers Hockey Club have claimed victory in the first of our finals series! 🔥

After finishing second on the ladder, Wanderers A1 Women produced a strong finals performance to take down Southern Suburbs 2–0 and claim victory in the CQ League grand final. 💪

After leading the competition all season, the Wanderers A1 Men showed exactly why they’ve been the team to beat, securing a 3–1 victory over Southern Suburbs in a fantastic performance. 👏

And a huge congratulations to Southern Suburbs’ Jemma Punch and Doug Buckley, both awarded Player of the Series! 🏆💛🖤

Jemma and Doug have been consistently exceptional throughout the series, delivering outstanding performances week after week. These accolades are incredibly well deserved, and we couldn’t be prouder of them both.

A huge thank you to Gladstone Hockey Association for being such an important part of our CQ League competition and for helping strengthen and grow the standard of hockey across our region. Bring on next week, as we move into our local league finals campaign! 🔥🏑
