🏆 The Claws secured their maiden title win in Cairns on Sunday with a thrilling 53-50 victory against North Queensland.

It completed a clean sweep of weekend wins for the Claws in the final round of the competition.

Claws shooter Annie Lawrie was a special guest on the ABC Capricornia breakfast show this morning.

Lawrie told presenter Karyn Wilson and Monday sports regular Aaron Kelly the title success meant "absolutely everything" for the sport of netball in central Queensland.

"To be able to do this for our region is something pretty special," she said.

"We've got so many young girls aspiring to be Claws one day, so hopefully a title like this can bolster netball in our community."

Lawrie and teammates Lara Steer and Taylah Cox capped a massive weekend for the Claws with selection in the Ruby North Merit Team. 👏
