Berserker Bears – 2026 FQPL Season Wrap-Up

What a season this has been for the Berserker Bears FQPL Squad.

When we compare where we started with where we finished, there is no doubt this team has grown. We improved, competed more consistently than in previous years.

We finished outside the top four, so we did not quite reach our ultimate goal. But that result does not erase the progress we made. We earned important wins, competed against strong opposition and showed that, with intensity, discipline and belief, we can challenge anyone.

Every player, coach, volunteer, supporter and family member should be proud of what we achieved together.

We must also be honest about what held us back. Fitness, slow starts, lapses in concentration and moments when we lost our shape cost us valuable points. Those frustrations have shown us exactly where we need to improve.

Most importantly, this group is stronger than it was at the start of the year. We have developed as footballers and as a team. We have shown resilience, built trust and created a platform for the future.

To the players, thank you for your commitment, effort, sacrifice and unity. To the committee, volunteers and everyone behind the scenes, thank you for making this season possible. And to our supporters and families, thank you for standing by us every week.

Now we have a choice. We can focus on what might have been, or use that disappointment to drive us forward.

I am proud of how far we as a squad have come in 2026—but do not be satisfied. The Bears are building something. We have laid the foundation and created a team capable of reaching the next level.

COME BE A BEAR IN 2027 🐻
If you are a former player, player from another club or new to town, we would love to see you in the green and gold in 2027. The more competition for positions, the stronger the Berserker Bears will be as a club.

The Bears do have a specific opening for a Premier level Goalkeeper. So if you’re a goalkeeper out there wanting to play FQPL Premier Division get in touch.
