Final one for the trip down memory lane.
You may have seen a common name or face appear in most of the images supplied to the Cressy Tennis Club.
The late Mr John Baxter past president of the CQTA back in the 70's.

The great Dell Bunt who will never be beaten with her record organising 100 plus teams for the town and county tennis tournament each May Day long weekend.

Ken Hick from Gladstone has reached out already with many comments , facts and even sent me a playing roster from the 1950s of Cressy players.

Love the history and keep the stories coming. Because if you don't talk about the memories they very quickly fade away.

This one is nearly 60 yrs ago - 1968.
No mullets back then
The young ones are off to Brisbane to play tennis and their parents are saying "alleluia" as they get a break from them for a week.
The train station looked very different to what it does today.
Maybe someone can shed some light on who these names might be - family and children.

And we can't forget the Rockhampton veterans tennis representatives heading to Brisbane to compete for the exclusive interstate Commonwealth Trophy.
Barry Latcham could certainly jump back then, and still playing very well today.
