A personal message from Ellie 🩵
As most of you know, we’ve been trying to grow our little family for a while now. Recently, we’ve experienced the heartbreak of two miscarriages, something that has reminded me just how important it is to give ourselves the same care, patience and compassion that we so freely give to others.
For the past three years, Burn en Tone has been such a huge part of my life and, more often than not, my number one priority. I absolutely love what we’ve created and I don’t take lightly the privilege of caring for our clients and our beautiful community every day.
But for a little while, it’s time for me to take some of my own advice. As the saying goes, “you can’t pour from an empty cup.” So I’ve made the decision to step back from regularly instructing classes and give my body a little more time and space, while making my health, wellbeing and growing our little family a priority.
This definitely doesn’t mean I’m stepping away from Burn en Tone. Far from it! I’ll still be very busy working in and on the business, supporting our team, planning what’s next and doing plenty behind the scenes. You’ll absolutely still see me around the studio, just perhaps a little less at the front of the room teaching classes.
I’m not sharing this as a cry for help or sympathy. I’m sharing it because miscarriage and fertility struggles can feel incredibly lonely, despite being experienced by so many. I hope that by speaking openly, someone else going through it might feel a little less alone.
And if you are in this season too, my inbox is always open if you ever want someone to talk to.
Sometimes we need to listen to the advice we give everyone else, and right now, I’m choosing to listen to mine. 🤍
