Kanwal Dhillon led from the front with a composed 81 off 68 balls, including 11 boundaries and 2 sixes, striking at 119.11.

Paras Sharma delivered an explosive innings, scoring a rapid 94 from just 32 balls. His aggressive approach kept the momentum high.

Shyam Sunder Reddy Chenna added further strength to the total with a well-constructed 97 from 81 deliveries, featuring 10 fours and 5 sixes at a strike rate of 119.75.

With the ball, Kasun Gayan provided excellent control, finishing with figures of 5 wickets for 9 runs, maintaining pressure through disciplined bowling.

A strong day across the club with plenty of momentum, highlighted by big totals, disciplined bowling, and a composed chase.

Western Lions 1st XI
A commanding start in the two day match, finishing day one at 7 for 303 off 54 overs. The innings was led by Shyam Sunder Reddy (97), with solid middle order support including Harshad Reddy (56). With the ball, the side struck early and kept it tight, having the opposition 1 for 7 at stumps.

Western Lions 2nd XI
A tough contest in Division 03. The bowling group worked hard to restrict the opposition to 208, led by Sameera Witharana (3 wickets), with strong support from Aruna Thalawiti (2 wickets) and Praveen Sendanayake (2 wickets). In reply, the side was dismissed for 89.

Western Lions 3rd XI
A complete performance and a convincing win. The bowlers set it up by dismissing the opposition for 110, highlighted by Suresh Fernando’s outstanding 6 for 12 off 5.2 overs, supported by Nishantha Alahakoon (2 wickets) and Kasun Gayan (2 wickets). The chase was controlled and efficient, finishing 2 for 113, with Eranda Suresh 46 not out and Sameera Kumara 19 not out guiding the team home.

Western Lions Warriors (Seipolt)
A dominant one day win built on an explosive batting display. After choosing to bat, the Warriors posted 297, with Kanwal Dhillon (112 off 91) and Sanjeev Kumar (83 off 43) leading the way, and a rapid late surge from Paras Sharma (43 off 18). The bowlers then held the chase in check, restricting the opposition to 176, with Paras Sharma (4 wickets) and tight spells from Sunny Rawat and Bala Subrahmanyam Balli helping seal the result.
