Two things happening at once, and that's what makes this one hard.
Eun releases the rope behind her lower back and catches it on a straight elbow. On its own, tricky enough.
Then we add a passé balance underneath, so she's releasing and catching the rope while holding the balance.
That combination is what turns a handling into a difficulty of apparatus. Small moving parts, stacked, until it becomes one clean skill.

What an incredible month it's been! 💜
From celebrating athlete achievements and competitions to learning new skills, building confidence, and creating unforgettable memories, August has been filled with moments we're proud to share.
Thank you to our amazing athletes, families, and coaches for making Aspire such a positive and supportive community. We can't wait to see what September has in store!
I think I can do three forward rolls before it comes down. Some days the girls call it, some days the throw wins.
Either way they're back up laughing and trying again.

Notice how every balance starts and finishes the same way: a pull-up.
With Luna's penché, shoulder blades together, arms just above the shoulders, before she even shapes the balance. She uses the floor for support, tightens through the top, holds, then lifts the arms and finishes back up into arabesque.
We teach that finish from a young age on purpose. When they're little it's slow and deliberate. As they grow it gets faster, but the habit's already there.

Why do gymnasts practice the same skill so many times? 🤸♀️💜
Repetition helps athletes develop muscle memory, improve technique, and build the confidence needed to perform skills safely and consistently.
Every repetition has a purpose—and every practice brings new progress.
Some of the best memories are made between classes, shared laughs, and trying something new. 💜
At Aspire, every session is an opportunity to build confidence, make friends, and discover the joy of movement in a supportive environment.
Here's to many more smiles, milestones, and unforgettable moments together.
The most useful thing competition gives our girls has almost nothing to do with the score.
It's standing in front of a crowd and performing. It's a panel of judges handing back honest feedback, and the girl learning to take it, use it, and improve.
That skill outlives the sport. Handling feedback from a teacher one day, or a boss years later, starts right here on the competition floor. The medal is not the point. The act of getting up there is.

This week, our athletes are focusing on spotting and rotations, pivots, club skills, and circuit training. 💜
Every repetition helps improve technique, coordination, and body awareness while building confidence for more advanced skills in the future.
Small improvements today lead to big achievements tomorrow.
