Vale Wendy Read

The East Ringwood Football Club is deeply saddened by the passing of Wendy Read, wife of our Life Member and club legend Russell Read.

Married to Russell for more than 60 years, Wendy stood beside him through every season of his long association with East Ringwood. Her support of Russ, and of this club, never wavered.

Our thoughts are with Russell and the Read family at this difficult time.

**PRELIMINARY FINAL — WE’RE THROUGH!** 🔵⚪

What a battle. The Dev Squad have booked their spot in the Grand Final, holding on for a 7-point win over Vermont, 8.7 (55) to 7.6 (48).

Vermont came home hard in the last with everything on the line, but the boys stood firm when it mattered most. Sweet redemption after going down to the same side by 4 points just two weeks ago.

Best: Harry Nolan, Hannin Mundy, Jake Malone, Max Baines, Noah Van Haren, Brodie Crapper
Goals: J. Malone 3, T. Heffernan 2, E. O’Neill, A. Baker, J. Dimitrov 1 each

Won by 7 points in a final term arm-wrestle — Vermont kicked 3.1 in the last to close within a kick, but the Roos held their nerve. Sweet revenge for that four-point qualifying final loss to the same opponent.
