David’s Blucher is far from stock, and this bike has taken him all over the world. We recently gave it an overhaul and rebuilt both wheels using Velocity USA Cliffhangers. The front was a tad trickier as it’s a 40H Phil Wood & Co. hub, but fortunately Velocity came to the rescue.
Using components on this bike from all over the world, Izumi Chain Mfg. Co., Ltd. / 和泉チエン株式会社 from Japan, Rohloff_AG hub from Germany, VELOCI CYCLE headset from Taiwan & Velocity USA and Phil Wood & Co. from America this Blucher is ready for its next adventure in South America!

We’ve had a busy July here at AC and will be closed on Wednesday 29th for stocktake. Online orders will ship but we won’t be on the phones or able to complete repairs.

Lily brought her Cannondale F400 in for some changes.

We added some new Drink Up bars, 34T front chainring and Veloci Lavender Chainring Bolts.

Paired up with some second hand components - Shimano Deore Crankset and bikinGreen 1.56” stem.

The bike is looking unreal!

Marc brought us two frames for himself and his son. Along with an array of New Old Stock parts he’d collected over the years. The goal was two working bikes ready to rip up the trails with!

We started by building up 4 wheels using NOS FR600 Rims along with NOS Deore & Deore XT hubs.

Both bikes were then equipped with 10 Speed Shimano SLX group sets including SLX hydraulic brakes which were NOS.

Marzocchi forks, carbon handlebars and seat posts installed. Then an array of anodised spares Marc had to finish off the builds.

This is Marc’s 4th & 5th bike we’ve built for him in the past 15 years! Thanks mate!

We will be closed over the Easter Long Weekend.
