Join us on Saturday 12th September at DISC Velodrome for our next Coach-Led Session, designed to help junior riders build confidence, skills and enjoyment on the track.

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

This session will:

Build confidence and competence on the boards at DISC

Provide accessible, high-quality coaching for riders unable to attend weekday club sessions

Support regional riders and clubs with structured development opportunities in Melbourne

Create coach development opportunities for accredited coaches delivering junior track programs

Improve skill progression and rider retention in junior track cycling

Riders who register for this session will get free entry to the timed gatestart session, starting at 12pm on the 12th of September.

Riders who register for the gatestart session will get:

J11 and J13 riders for the 2027 track season will get two held starts, with timed efforts for a two lap time trial and/or four-lap IP.

J13 riders who are competing in U15 for the 2027 season will get two gate starts, with timed efforts for a two-lap time trial and/or eight-lap IP

Timed Gatestart is back, with session one just ahead of the track season. This is your opportunity to experience a gatestart in competition like settings, and set a benchmark Individual Pursuit and/or Time Trial time.

The session will build confidence and familiarity with the countdown clock, sounds, and release of a startgate in competition.

Riders will receive the elapsed time for their effort including lap splits. This will help with preparation ahead of state track championships.

The session will be held on Saturday 12th September only.

Top age under 13 who will race under 15 for the 2026/2027 Track Season can take part in this session by contacting [email protected]

This is because track season age categories do not kick in until 1st October.

Age categories for future timed gatestart session from 1st October will be correct.
