Another fine Sunday in Canberra as last Sunday the Griffins hosted the Sea Dragons in a clash of mythological creatures and two amazing Clubs.

Finals are nearly upon us and in the womens side all teams have a chance to capture the title. USYD remains undefeated but both Canberra and UNSW have shown they can more than threaten an upset.

On the mens side weve seen great chemistry and tremendous growth, defending champs UNSW havent been beaten but in lacrosse anything can happen.

Three big games this Sunday at the Lions Den. We cant wait to see you there!

This Sunday will see another installment of the Sydney Lacrosse League hosted right here in the nation's capital! It will be a mythological battle for the ages between the Griffins and the Sea Dragons at the University of Canberra Oval 2. The women's teams will kick off the action at 1pm.

The Canberra men are hungry to secure their first win of the winter league, and are very much looking forward to meeting the USYD dragons on the field for the first time.

The USYD women are having an absolute belter of a season, and as of yet are undefeated in the winter league. But the Griffs should never be underestimated, especially on our home turf. The women's team studied their opponents during previous games, and have been training hard to prepare for a rematch!

The SLL returned to its spiritual home at the Village Green in UNSW this week, with three great games that showed just how much the teams are gelling and growing.

On the womens side, UNSW looked to ride the momentum from recent wins taking on the stalwart USYD juggernaut. Four goals apiece from the Persinger duo was not enough as every Sea Dragon got on the scoresheet in another solid win.

The men saw an undefeated clash as UNSW battled MQ, the Lions coming out on top despite a big fightback from the Mad Dogs. USYD went firing in the second game and had its best performance yet, though a killer trio of Matt, Chris and Jimmy accounted for all the Lions goals and enough to get on top of the table and remain unbeaten.

This week sees USYD make the countryside drive to Canberra, with the Griffs week off used to prepare for whats sure to be another highlight filled Sunday as we head into the home stretch of the comp.

New milestones being reached every week. Round 3 of the Winter SLL saw UNSW make the drive up to Canberra with the Griffs creating a lively (and wet) atmosphere for the first ever Club vs Club games in the Capital.

Standout efforts with Canberras Thea notching a 6 goal effort in Womens game 1, this was matched by the Lion's Maddy, who followed that up with 4 goals in G2 for 10 in total. UNSW came away with two tough victories but with some Griffs making debuts they will continue to present a massive challenge as they gel and prepare for USYD in two weeks.

On the Mens side, the defending champs in the Lions showed why they will be a force again with two victories, very clinical in their offense and defence facing a Griff's side missing some key individuals but still making UNSW have to be at their best.

Round 4 sees the UNSW Homecoming Round with three big games on offer, with an undefeated match up between Macquarie and UNSW starting things off. Stop by the Village Green to check out all the action.
