Our Merger Club, Western Pride FC won the NPL Grandfinal and were crowned Champions.
It’s great to hear that there are plans emerging with Ipswich FC to honour the milestone sometime next season with player reunions and a special one off playing kit.
We look forward to the clubs 2027 plans & celebrations.
The Pit would like to thank James Baty for his dedication & commitment to Ipswich FC this season.
Briggs Rd witnessed the greatest season since 2018 under James’s leadership, returning sense of pride to the club, players, staff and supporters.
If you’re leaving a place better than you arrived, depart knowing that the imprint left behind has made its mark.

Heartbreak for our senior men as their season comes to an end.
We’ll do an end of season debrief in the coming days, but the club this season has impressed us all.
So proud of everything the club has achieved this season.

Our FQPL Mens season comes to an end, going down 1–0 to Sunshine Coast Wanderers in the Elimination Final.
A huge thank you to everyone who got behind the boys throughout the season 🩵.
It’s a no brainer!! A Home Semi Final at Briggs Rd… We’ll be behind goal from 3:30pm.
Up until early this week we were Buderim bound, then FQ scheduled a clash of kick off times.
Women at 4pm | Men at 6:30pm.
We couldn’t do both. We were trying to make it work. Leaving the women at half time and arriving at Buderim late in the men’s second was a push. Flipping a coin even..
But ultimately a Briggs Rd home Semi Final couldn’t be overlooked.
We broke the news to the Men & Women at training on Thursday night.

Our Ipswichfc women go undefeated in the league this season, scoring 115 goals.
Having limited access to video with no YouTube streams for FQPLW4 and only VEO vids with limited games recorded, I think we managed to get a good montage of goals across games and a variety of players.

Ipswichfc completed their regular season sitting 4th on the FQPL1 ladder, only just losing out to the Sunshine Coast Wanderes who secured 3rd with a thrashing of St George Willawong.
With that means an away semi final at Buderim in a couple of weeks
Season 2026 has been one for our statistics guru, Garry.
This season was not only our best performance post merger, but also our greatest season since we made the semi finals under Western Pride Colours in 2018.
We finished 2026 on 35 points, beating the 2021 season points haul of 32 with a better goal difference.
We’ve now made 4 finals appearances
