The Terrace parkrun

The Terrace parkrun The Terrace parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km walk, jog or run which takes place every Saturday at 8am in Riverside Park Raymond Terrace This is uneven ground.

Here is a description of the course:

The start line is just south of the wharf near the fishing trawlers. Head North between the river and the trees, through the “Choke Point” opposite the hotel. Continue along the river staying left. Keep heading North until you reach a loose gravel rise to the right known as “Worimi Climb”. Here you join the concrete path heading North past the Raymond Terrace Athletics Field. Continue to wind your way North to just under the bridge where you turn around just before the boat ramp. Head South along the path until you reach “The Wall” and head down the right hand side to the grass again. Staying left as you head through the Choke Point where you join the paved path and wind through the play area and follow the path all the way South to the turn around point at the southern cone. Turn right through the bollards onto the bitumen and head north gain, run past the fishing trawlers and repeat the first lap. On the second trip south after the right turn through the bollards, race towards the finish line which is just past the start line at the end of the bitumen.
