Queanbeyan Whites

Queanbeyan Whites Rugby Union Club The Queanbeyan Whites were established in 1954, joining the ACTRU Competition in 1955. Contact for bookings and stay tuned for up coming events.

The Mighty Whites, as they are also known, went on to first win the ACTRU Premiership in 1959 and then went on to a run of three successive premierships from 1981-1983. The Whites broke a 24 year premiership drought by winning the ACTRU Premier Division John I Dent Cup Grand Final in 2007 in which they defeated the Gungahlin Eagles 33-12, a match they never looked like losing. The September 1 Grand Final win was made all the more sweeter by the Queanbeyan Colts side, who also won their grand final on the day, beating the Tuggeranong Vikings. The following 2008 season proved to be arguably the finest in Whites history with First, Second and the Colts grades finishing the season as minor premiers. The club was also awarded the honour of Champion Club and Club Champions for the first time ever. However the icing on the cake came for the Mighty Whites at Viking Park on grand final day. Three premierships were delivered in style with First Grade, Second Grade and Colts proving that their minor premierships were no fluke. After losing the heartbreak of losing a close final to Tuggeranong in 2009 the Whites first grade side got their revenge in 2010 in another close final this time winning 30-28. The colts team also bounced back from a disappointing 2009 to take the title in 2010 and then followed it up in 2011. The whites now have a new home which features a modern function room named "The Whitehouse". Overlooking the picturesque Campese Oval and boasting new bar, catering and entertainment facilities The Whitehouse is ideal for all occasions.

⚪️🔵 OUR HEAD COACH FOR 2027

The Queanbeyan Whites are proud to announce Becks Seeto as Head Coach for the 2027 season!

Having come through our Colts program as a player, Becks has continued to give back to the club through coaching. He helped guide our Colts to the 2025 premiership and was part of our First Grade coaching group in 2026, stepping up to lead the side later in the season.

Becks brings strong knowledge around the set piece and a real commitment to developing our players. Just as importantly, he understands the people, culture and community that make the Whites special.

His contribution was recognised this year with our Best Club Person award. His positive nature, the relationships he builds and the care he shows for those around him are a huge part of what he brings to our club, well beyond the training paddock.

For Becks, building a team means creating an environment where people feel connected, enjoy their rugby and want to turn up for each other. That is something we value enormously, and we’re excited to have him carry that approach into 2027.

We’re proud to see one of our own continue his coaching journey at the Whites and look forward to getting behind him for the season ahead.

Queanbeyan continues to grow, but its strength will always come from the people and businesses who remain genuinely connected to the local community.

Belle Property Queanbeyan, McNamee’s Property, Chase Building Group and Googong Township have each supported the Whites in 2026.

These businesses help people build homes, find homes and become part of the communities around them. Their support also helps the club continue providing a place where people can connect through rugby.

That’s a wrap on the 2026 season 💙🤍

Unfortunately, all three teams fell short in their elimination finals this weekend.

While it wasn’t the way we hoped to finish, we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, commitment and resilience shown by every player throughout the season. Thank you to all the coaches, managers, volunteers, supporters and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the season possible.

We’ll take the lessons, the memories and the good times with us, and we’ll be back bigger and better next year 🔥
