G'day All,

'A' and 'B' Grade draws are out for this season on Player HQ.

Some key dates for the club are as follows.

The 3rd of October.
Will be a club working bee from 0900 then club T20 game. Let's get max attendance to the working bee to get the club site looking good for the upcoming season.

The 10th of October, Round 1.
A Grade: Bye
B grade: Home, T20

The 19th of December both A&B grades T20 away at Pyalong then Xmas party back at Puckapunyal club rooms.

The 9th of January, 2027.
A&B grades at home T20

The 16th of January, 2027.
Puckapunyal vs Tallarook both grades at home one day matches and Pink Stumps day with both clubs stay for function that night.

Last round before finals will be the 6th of March, 2027.

Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Puckapunyal Cricket Club is getting geared up and ready to improve on last years efforts. We had a great turn out to the Sign Up Day last Friday, this season looks to be exciting.

Training kicks off tomorrow afternoon (8th of Sep) at 1630 for Seniors. Both A and B grade teams will be selected from these sessions by Captains and Vice-Captains on a weekly basis once the season kicks off.

Tuesdays and Thursdays will be seniors training.
Wait out for when Junior training will be. To be confirmed shortly.

The Puckapunyal Cricket Club held its 2025/26 presentation night, marking a significant milestone for the club.

In recognition of their tireless efforts, the club expressed gratitude to those who worked behind the scenes to drive its growth from one senior team in the 2024/25 season to five teams, including three junior teams, this year.

Although no silverware was secured this season, the club takes immense pride in its achievements. Top performers from each team received accolades, and the club was delighted to welcome three new life members.

Yesterday the Puckapunyal Cricket Club's President's XI took part in our annual match against the MCC XXIX Club, and had the privilege of playing on stunning grounds of the Melbourne Cricket Club.

Pucka took to the crease first with the Formula 1 echoing in the background and notching up a defendable total of 8/169 from 36 overs, skipper Charlie Davies lead the charge with a sensational 87, whilst racking up a $75 bill for hitting a ball into the middle of Queens road, leaving the match officials no choice but to replace the ball only to then add a ball shaped dent to the clubhouse roof a few over later.

Pucka entered the field confident with a defendable total to work with. After some nerve racking moments and an almost chanceless 91 from Rohan Pyke, solid bowling performances from Maddi "Maddog" Albers (2/18), Lachy Deeble (2/18), and Charlie Davies (2/15) took it down to the wire!

The XXIXers needed 3 runs off the final ball, and Pucka being a fielder short after a sniper in the high rises took Pistol Pete's Hamstring. Yet they chose to hit the ball to the brick wall that is Matty Pal at fine leg and only managed a single. Pucka winning by 1 run off the last ball, to regain the Sorkh Bid Shield!

Thank you to MCC for hosting us, and for the gentlemen from the XXIX Club for such an excellent day on the wicket played in excellent spirit.
