Regretfully after 36 years White Mountain Backpacks is closing down. All stock is reduced to clear with details of available products on the White Mountain website. We would like to thank all of our customers over the years for their support, for which we are truly grateful. The Preston store will be open on each Saturday from 11am to 4pm for those customers wishing to grab a bargain. Please be aware that the product available is now limited.

"Section 8 between Serpentine Gorge and Serpentine Chalet Dam - carrying about 22kg ... much of it water. The pack was great."

The White Mountain team were pleased to be able to support Mick (Michael) in having his Main Peak Bushwalking Backpack fitted for his long journey. Thank you Mick sharing these pics in preparation, and one during his incredible solo trek along the Mississippi River to raise awareness and funds for struggling communities in Columbia.

Thank you David for sending these 2 wonderful photos to us and sharing your challenging trek to Kilimanjaro with us. It's great to know that our Backpack made it all the way to the top with you.

Thank you Chris and Danene for taking these photos and sending these through and providing us with the opportunity to support your project as the 'Cycling Scientists'. Chris and Danene passion of Science took them on an incredible 3000 kilometre cycling adventure up the rough tracks of Cape York to visit over 60 schools to see over 2000 students as part of their unique science education program. With our Bushwalking Backpacks they visited some very remote places on the Cape, including several Indigenous communities that rarely receive visits from external education programs – particularly ones on bicycles. They advised that 'In schools we were running shows and workshops on energy, sustainable transport and energy use, and innovation.'

Thank you Felicity for sending us your pic and your details of your South American trip some time back - 'Crossing a bridge along the road between Cuzco and Puno in Peru South America due to road blocks/strikes. One group was removing planks from the bridge, the other group was helping us across and putting planks back on! “The packs were great, thanks for the time you spent fitting them correctly.”

Thank you Gary for sharing these great photos with the White Mountain team. Photos are of Gary and his son Christopher on a 3-day hiking adventure up in the Alpine National Park, via Licola. Millers Hut on Friday night before embarking on our overnight walk into Lake Tali Karng on Saturday. Returning back the Sunday. They took their White Mountain - Main Peak 75 & Antarctica 75 Backpacks which we fitted to them.
