MumSafe Retreat 2026!

This event is one of the highlights on my calendar each year.

There is something special about being in a room full of like minded women, all determined to make a difference to the level of care our female members receive throughout their fitness journey!!

Each year we combine eduction in business, pre and postnatal exercise, social and fun!!

Some of these ladies I’ve been catching up with for 8 years now and they are some of the most genuine and caring women I know. So many laughs.

I also received my Level 5 continued education.

Thanks team, another amazing retreat this year.

This morning we completed our annual Daffodil Dip đŸŒŒ

We started with an outdoor workout to warm up, then headed in for the dip, all to raise much-needed funds for Cancer Council.

This is now our 3rd year supporting this cause, and it means so much to see our Miss Motivator community continue to show up, get involved and support something bigger than ourselves.
Cancer touches so many families, friends and communities, and every donation helps fund vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services for people affected by cancer.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this morning, donated, encouraged and dipped.

It wasnt too chilly this morning, it was fun, and it was for an incredibly important cause.

You can still make a donation via the link below.

Every little bit helps. đŸŒŒ

We’re ditching the scales. Well
 the basic ones anyway.

Because we are tired of seeing women step onto a set of bathroom scales, see that the number hasn’t changed, and immediately decide:

“It’s not working.”

When in reality, SO much could be changing.

If you’re strength training consistently, improving your nutrition and moving more, your body may be:
đŸ’ȘđŸ»building muscle
đŸ’ȘđŸ»reducing body fat
đŸ’ȘđŸ»improving visceral fat levels
đŸ’ȘđŸ»changing in shape and measurements
đŸ’ȘđŸ»becoming stronger and fitter
đŸ’ȘđŸ»holding different amounts of fluid depending on hydration, hormones, training and even the time of day

And your regular bathroom scales tell you none of that.

They simply tell you your total body weight.

That’s why we look at body composition, not just kilograms.

Body composition scales can give us a much bigger picture, including things like muscle mass, body fat, visceral fat and hydration — all important information that a standard set of scales just can’t show you.

So if you’ve been training for a few weeks and the number on the scales hasn’t moved, please don’t automatically assume you’ve failed.

You may actually be making some pretty significant changes.

The goal isn’t always to weigh less.

Sometimes the goal is to have more muscle, less body fat, better health and a stronger body.

And that is absolutely progress.

And don’t even get us started on BMI
 😂

20/08/2026

It isn’t always a smaller number on the scales! In fact it rarely is!

Most times success looks like

Getting up off the floor without thinking twice.

Carrying all the groceries in one trip.

Lifting a weight you never thought you could.

Having more energy at the end of the day.

Feeling confident enough to try something new.

Keeping up with your kids or grandkids.

Noticing that everyday things suddenly feel easier.

Making friends and actually looking forward to exercise.

Feeling strong in a body that perhaps hasn’t felt quite like yours lately.

And sometimes, success is simply walking through the door when you nearly talked yourself out of coming is the greatest success.

At Miss Motivator, we LOVE seeing physical changes. Who doesn't?

But we also know there are so many wins that will never show up on a set of scales.

Strength. Confidence. Energy. Independence. Connection.

That’s the stuff we’re really here to build.

So if you’re thinking about starting again, maybe don’t ask yourself:

“How much weight could I lose?”

Ask:

“How different could I feel?”

19/08/2026

For years, women have been taught that exercise is all about burning calories.

Sweat more.
Eat less.
Do more cardio.
Work off what you ate.

But particularly as we move through our 40s, 50s and beyond, we need to start thinking differently.

Exercise shouldn't be about making your body smaller.

It should be about building a body that is stronger and more capable.

Building muscle.
Getting stronger.
Improving what your body can DO.
Having the strength and energy for everyday life.
And feeling confident in your body again.

That’s why strength training is such an important part of what we do at Miss Motivator — especially for women navigating perimenopause, menopause and all the changes that can come with this stage of life.

You don’t need to punish your body into changing.

You need to give it the right stimulus, support and consistency so it has a reason to adapt.

So maybe it’s time to change the question.

Stop asking, “How much weight can I lose?”

Start asking, “How strong could I feel?”

Waiting until you feel READY or MOTIVATED isn’t making it easier.

It’s easy to tell yourself you’ll start when

The weather warms up.
Life settles down.
You have more energy.
You lose a few kilos.
You feel more motivated.

But the problem is, those things don’t always happen first.

Sometimes the energy comes after you start moving.
Sometimes the confidence comes after you realise you’re stronger than you thought.
Sometimes the motivation comes after you find the right people and the right support.

You don’t need to wait for spring.
You don’t need to be fitter first.
You don’t need to have it all together.

You just need to start.

And the good news? Our team is already here, waiting to help you.

So if you’ve been thinking, “I really need to do something”
keep an eye on us this week.

We’ve got something coming that might be exactly the nudge you need. đŸŒŒ

Thanks for sharing MV!!

We love it when we get member feedback like this.

This is what we mean when we say strength is built over time. Small actions on repeat.

Eight years ago, this gorgeous member started with a tolerance of less than 30 minutes of exercise a week.

No crazy overhaul.
No smashing herself every day.
No chasing quick fixes.

Just slowly building strength, confidence and consistency.

Over the years, she gradually increased her training, made small tweaks to her nutrition, and last year reached around 60 minutes of movement, 5 days a week.

And now?

A recent body composition scan showed she is in the 95th percentile for muscle mass ratio for her age. 🙌

THAT is something worth celebrating.

Especially as we get older, building and maintaining muscle becomes incredibly important for our strength, independence, bone health, metabolism and quality of life.

And the best bit?

She didn’t start fit.

She didn’t start strong.

She just started where she was.

Then kept going. ❀

We are so incredibly proud to have been part of her journey for the past 8 years.

This is the Miss Motivator Method in action — small, sustainable changes that add up to something pretty bloody amazing.

Hooray indeed!! 🎉đŸ’Ș
