Message from the President!


Season 2026 has seen us go from strength to strength and been a season of growth for the Hastings Valley Vikings with all 4 Saturday sides qualifying for the Semifinals this weekend.
Our Under 14s continue to develop and finished 2nd on the ladder and will play this Saturday in the Major Semifinal at Coffs Harbour Rugby Park for a chance to go through to the Grand Final Decider. Our Under 18s will play next Saturday to do the same in the Preliminary Final against a formidable TAS side.

Both these sides have shown considerable character and fight, our 14s have been electric gotten the majority of our Rugby Days off to a positive start, while the 18s have battled hard in difficult circumstances in a revised competition format which involved a lot of travel and sacrifice and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.

Both Senior sides finished 4th on the ladder and will play sudden death Minor Semifinals on Sunday up at Grafton, 1st grade secured their spot several weeks ago while Reserve Grade saved their best performance for when it counted and booked their ticket in the last regular season round. Both Squads head to Grafton on Sunday, confident and ready to go.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Players, Coaches, Volunteers and Committee for their hard work and commitment so far this year, and it wouldn't happen without our wonderful Sponsors and Supporters who week in week out support all we do.

VIKINGS WIN AT HOME! 🏉🔥
What a way to close out our final home game of the season at Oxley Oval! The Hastings Valley Vikings Reserve Grade put on an absolute masterclass today, securing a dominant 50 - 19 victory over the SCU Marlins in Round 15 of the MNC Northern Division.

Huge shoutout to all the Old Boys, supporters, family and friends who came out to back the boys today and make our final home fixture one to remember. The atmosphere at Oxley Oval was electric!

The Hastings Valley Vikings are back at Oxley Oval for our last home clash of the year! It’s a huge Old Boys’ Day as we celebrate the 10-year reunion of our legend 2016 squad. 🏆✨
Reserve Grade kicks off at 2:00pm, and the bar and canteen will be fully stocked all day long. Let's pack the hill, welcome back our Old Boys, and give the Vikings a massive home crowd cheer! 💪💚💛🖤

And just like that Junior Rugby keeps on giving!

Huge congratulations to our awesome U12's Isaac Tunstead, Ollie Tunstead, Taj Laden, Ihaia Proffitt-Tunks, Archie McKeown and Noah Blair who will all be representing their regions and schools at the NSW PSSA School Rugby Championships being held in Mudgee!

These kids continue to grow and develop and take their rugby to the next level.

The Viking community are extremely proud of their achievements and wish them all the best in Mudgee!

Last night marked the Friday Night Juniors Grand Final night and it started with a bang!

Congratulations to our very own U12 Hastings Vallet Helga's who took out the inaugural U12gs Grand Final coming away winners 15 - 10 over a gutsy Port Macquarie Pirates.

locked up at 10 all at half time, it was a late try to the Helga's to seal the win and come away with the win!

Massive shoutout to the awesome girls on their hard fought win, as well as Josh and Jac Crilley for all their hard work in getting this team off the ground and bringing the Helga's back to the Hastings Valley Vikings Rugby Union Club!

Unfortunately our U10s and 12s couldn't replicate the girls feat but we're gallant in defeat and showed true courage.

Last but not least a huge thankyou to the PMJRUC Committee, referees and Volunteers! Without the hard work junior competitions like yours wouldn't be possible
