Guess how old Les is? 👀👇🏼
What a privilege to have the oldest walking footballer in Australia playing at our club!⚽️
Meet Les King who is 85 years old and still finding ways to stay active and meet new people. What an inspiration 🙌🏼
So you might be thinking, what is walking football?
Walking football is one of the worlds fastest growing sports for adults aged 50 and older, offering a low-impact, accessible way to stay fit and social! They do just as the name suggests play football but there’s no running only walking⚽️
The Pina Koalas (Ports local club) meet at West Port Tennis Club every Wednesday from 5-6:30pm to play a game of walking football. All are welcome and you don’t need any football experience to get amongst the fun.
Sounds like something you’d be interested in? Send us a DM and we’ll get you in touch with Dene.
We love having the football community a part of our tennis club as we are all about people finding ways to move their bodies, meet friends and belong to a community - no matter the sport!
Double tap to get Les some love ♥️

7 PINA KOALAS TRIAL FOR NSW REGIONAL STATE SQUAD
The Port Macquarie Pina Koalas are celebrating an exciting milestone, with seven players attending trials last Sunday for selection in the NSW Regional State Walking Football Squad.
If selected, the players will have the opportunity to represent their State at the inaugural National State and Territories Walking Football Championships, to be held in October 2026.
All players participating in the WFFA Cup will be observed for future national selection consideration, including the 2027 World Nations Cup Foreveroos squad.
Having seven players trial is a fantastic achievement for the Pina Koalas and reflects the club's continued growth and commitment to walking football. It is also recognition of the dedication, sportsmanship and skill demonstrated by the players throughout the season.
Everyone at the Port Macquarie Pina Koalas wishes our seven representatives the very best of luck with the selection process.
We are proud of your achievements and look forward to cheering you on as you strive to earn a place in this historic national championship.

The Pina Koalas made a bold move last week, contacting Craig Johnston, who was leading a charity guest talk at port panthers. The Pina Koalas asked if he would do a shoutout to diners attending the 'show'. Much to our amazement, he agreed!!!! Can't get better than that!!!!
