🏏 Do you want to help your child and their mates thrive?

With the new cricket season approaching, we're looking for parents and volunteers who might be interested in getting more involved and helping create a great experience for our junior players.

You don't need to know anything about cricket to become a volunteer or coach.

Cricket Australia's new Coach360 program is designed to give you the skills and confidence to support young players. At junior level, it's not about being a technical cricket expert — it's about encouraging kids, keeping them engaged, helping them learn and creating a positive environment where they can enjoy themselves and thrive.

And these aren't just cricket skills. Much of the training is about how we communicate with young people, what we say, how we give feedback and how we guide and support them — skills that can cross over into coaching almost ANY junior sport.

✅ No previous cricket or coaching experience required
✅ No obligation to become a team coach afterwards

We're encouraging as many parents as possible to complete the online Coach360 modules — even if you have no intention of coaching a team.

We're also seeking; Expressions of Interest for the in-person training before the season starts, so we can have a great group of trained volunteers ready to support our junior teams.

We are so excited to launch GIRLS BLAST at Port Macquarie Cricket Club! 🏏🩷

For a long time, cricket has been seen as a male dominated sport, but we want to be part of changing that.

At PMCC, we are incredibly proud of the girls and women who have come through our junior ranks, supported by our amazing committee and coaches, and we want to create even more opportunities for the next generation of girls to discover cricket, build confidence and find their place in the game.

Research shows that participation in non traditional sports can help girls develop valuable skills including resilience, confidence, risk tolerance and self advocacy.

GIRLS BLAST is the first step in your daughter’s cricket journey.

Designed for girls aged 4–9 years, it is a fun, supportive introduction to cricket where girls can learn new skills, make friends and most importantly, have fun.

It’s time to BLAST into cricket ….. the most fun around. Come along and join our Blast program , open to boys and girls. No experience needed, an afternoon of fun and excitement, everything is supplied.

Every Thursday for 8 weeks with experienced coaches and members of our club.

Simply turn up with your water bottle and a desire to have fun !

The countdown to the 2026/27 cricket season is on, and registrations are now open for all new and returning players.

We can’t wait to see familiar faces back at the club and welcome plenty of new ones.

Last week, a group of our female players, parents and committee members had the opportunity to spend the evening with Sydney Sixers stars Lauren Cheatle and Jack Edwards at a fantastic Cricket NSW event organised by Kate Jackson.

While there was plenty of cricket talk, it was two simple messages that really resonated with our club:

"The first rule of cricket is to have fun." — Jack Edwards

"Cricket is about spending time with your friends, not just playing sport." — Lauren Cheatle

Those words perfectly capture what Port Macquarie Cricket Club is all about.
