BAKERY ON O'CONNELL

Caitlyn and Narla have had an awesome experience in Ballarat at the Athletics Australia National Cross Country Championships.
They only met two weeks ago and now they are training partners and friends.
Both were in the under 12 3km, Narla come in 40th and Caitlyn 64th in a field of 80.
Lifetime memories made as they represented SA for the first time (I’m confident it won’t be their last ).
Tough conditions but they were both smiling at the end of it.

Good luck to Caitlyn and Narla who are competing in the Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships tomorrow. The girls will be tested by tough competition and even tougher conditions after plenty of rain in Ballarat this week.

Shout out to Henry Schwerdt who is representing SA at the primary school footy national championships this week. SA have had two wins and two losses. Henry getting plenty of the ball in the midfield and has kicked 9 goals.
This is the third sport he has been a state rep in, cross country and track the other two. Handy cricketer too.

Training Cancelled at the club due to a chemical fire in Port Adelaide.
Here’s the advice:

It is highly unsafe to run at the Port Adelaide Athletics Club right now. While the grounds on Langham Place are physically located roughly 3 to 4 kilometres south-west of the Moonta Road blaze—outside the mandatory 1km evacuation zone—outdoor cardiovascular exercise poses severe health risks today due to the nature of the fire.
