Our Allstars Community Spirit Award is back for Winter Season 2026!🌟

Our club is built on more than just netball. It's built on the individuals who give their time, energy and heart to Pooraka - some who don't even hold an official position within the club (like parents, family & friends). Vice versa, there are also active members of our club (such as players, coaches, umpires, etc.) who silently go about their duties each week, whilst also going above and beyond in other areas of being involved in a local sporting club who deserve the utmost respect & recognition for all their hard work and contributions that help keep our club alive, thriving and growing!

Our Allstars Community Spirit Award has been designed to honour the unwavering effort, support, and authentic display of passion, dedication, commitment & sportsmanship a sole individual has shown to Pooraka Netball Club and within our local community over the previous season (ie. Winter Season 2026).

We invite our members (and beyond) to nominate someone who truly reflects the spirit and values of being an Allstar/part of the Pooraka Netball Club family. If someone comes to mind who you believe deserves to be honoured, we ask that you please submit a nomination and share why they are worthy of this special recognition!

👉🏼 Nominate an Allstar: https://forms.gle/KWYrBfHujZz2Ny668
Nominations will close Sunday, September 13 at 5:00pm.

Our Allstars Community Spirit Award recipient will be announced by the honourable Councillor Beau Brug at our upcoming Junior Presentation on Sunday, September 20!❤️💙

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY🩵 To all of our amazing Dads & Fatherly figures who support their child and loved ones on the sideline each week, the Dads who help their kiddos get to training on time, the Dads who volunteer their free time to coach, score or time, the ones who umpire, step in to assist with training drills, and the ones who lend a hand to reach all the tall things (for those of us who are height challenged🤭) — we hope you have had a wonderful Father’s Day!🫶🏼

A huge congratulations to Charlotte L from our Primary 3 team who was awarded the Winter Season 2026 Umpire’s Award for her grade at SADNA yesterday🤗

At junior levels, both officiating umpires will each vote for a player who they believe was the best on court during the game. These votes are handed into SADNA after the end of each match and tallied at the completion of the Minor Rounds (ie. Round 14). Out of all 7-teams in her grade, Charlotte was announced the winner of the Primary 3 division!

An absolute force of speed to come up against in the midcourt, a beautiful shot at goal, and one of the best vertical jumps you will ever see — Charlotte’s first season in the red & blue stars has been nothing short of phenomenal to watch!

Congratulations Charlotte! We’re so happy for you, and proud to call you an Allstar❤️💙

YOUR WINTER SEASON 2026 PRIMARY 3 PREMIERS🤩

Another massive round of congratulations are in order to Coach Belinda & her Allstars on their 6-GOAL WIN in their Grand Final against Tea Tree Gully 1 today, with a final score of 15-9. With scores even at half time our Allstars completely locked in over the second half of the game, took advantage of the wind dying down ever so slightly to push the score out to a 3-goal lead in Pooraka’s favour heading into the 4th quarter, all whilst turning over some incredible ball — bringing home the title of PRIMARY 3 PREMIERS🌟

Another huge THANK YOU to all of the incredible supporters who cheered our Allstars on — the family, friends, fellow Allstars and everyone in-between! We are so grateful for just how far our Pooraka family extends!

Congratulations Allstars! You should all be so proud of yourselves❤️💙
