President's Weekly Wrap-up:
Preliminary FINAL Edition

Well it's official... the girls have made it to the GRAND FINAL!!!

Under 12 Girls:
Eltham 14 - Wyndham 20
The girls dominated the game right from the start, never giving up a solid lead. Their teamwork and communication were fantastic, setting them up as a really strong team with one game left. Congrats to Felicity for scoring over 100 goals this season – what an achievement!

Training this week will be as usual, and we encourage everyone (including the boys) to come and support the girls in their finals campaign.

The Grand Final is at Altona at 10:30 AM on Sunday, the 6th, against MCC.

The U12 girls are playing at Lower Eltham 570 Main Rd, Eltham at 10:30am tomorrow morning 30 August. Please arrive earlier to gear up and stretch out.
This is a important game as winning gets the girls through to the Grand Final. Let’s get behind them and show some Wyndham Pride. Good Luck and Have Fun Warriors🥍

SEMI FINAL Edition

Under 12 Boys:
Camberwell Raiders 17 - Wyndham 12
Our young athletes faced another challenging match, consistently striving to catch up on a cold, rainy day. Despite the pressure, they demonstrated excellent and fair lacrosse. I am optimistic about this group's future development. A big congratulations to Haziq on his first goal.

Under 12 Girls:
Footscray 15 - Wyndham 16
This was a very closely contested game, with scores level at halftime. Footscray performed admirably in the third quarter, but the remarkable speed of the Gee sisters helped narrow the margin, leading to a thrilling conclusion. Well done, girls.

Training this week will proceed as usual, and we encourage everyone (including the boys) to come and support the girls in their finals campaign.

*A special mention: Felicity also achieved one assist, scored her first goal, and was named MVP in the Under 14s Boys for Surrey Park LC.

Reminder training is on tonight Thursday 20th, 6pm. Finals start Saturday and would be great to get a good session in.
Boys are up against Camberwell on Saturday morning at Camberwell.
Girls are up against Footscray Sunday morning at Angliss Reserve. Exciting weekend ahead.

President's Mega Weekly Summary:

Under 12 Boys:
Camberwell Rangers 10 Wyndham 14
This particular game proved to be the most challenging for our Under 12s throughout the entire season. Each player demonstrated exceptional effort on both sides of the field. Nevyn's impressive 21 saves were instrumental in keeping us competitive, and Jordi contributed significantly with 7 goals. This was a remarkable performance, and we hope to maintain this momentum as we head into the finals.

Under 12 Girls:
Wyndham 22 - Williamstown 12
Our Under 12 Girls displayed outstanding play throughout the entire game, with every team member performing admirably. This was another excellent showing as they prepare for the finals.

The Under 12 Boys concluded their season in 4th place, while the Under 12 Girls secured 3rd place in their respective standings.

Under 10s State Lightning Carnival

It was truly wonderful to witness Wyndham fielding two highly competitive teams. The Purple team (Girls) emerged victorious in their group, and the young Grey team (Boys) put forth a commendable effort. This success led to the Purple team advancing to the Grand Final, it was such a close game against Eltham finishing tied in regular time. But Felicity bravely stood up scoring the decisive golden goal in overtime, securing the club's very first Pennant. 💜🎉🥍

As we approach the finals, I understand that emotions may run high.
