Caroline Springs George Cross FC is a Victorian NPL soccer club based in Fraser Rise, a north-western suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. George Cross FC is a club rich with history, formed in 1947 by Maltese immigrants. The club proudly wears the George Cross medal on its Jersey as parts of the club’s official emblem to honour the Maltese Culture. We have many Maltese descendants who play at George Cross because of the Maltese connection. Our Restaurant, Georgies on Vista offers a selection of traditional Maltese food as well as a variety of family dining choices. The club has a strong football history, we joined the State League in 1958 and played there until 1983. In that year the club amalgamated with Sunshine City and became Sunshine George Cross. In 1984 SGC joined the National League and played 200 matches until being omitted from the NSL in 2001. Georgies played in the 1st and 2nd division of the Victorian Premier League. After winning the 2022 State League 1 Championship and 2023 NPL3 Championship our Senior Men have secured back-to-back promotions and in 2024 will play in NPL2, the second tier of football in Victoria, and third in Australia. The club has a large contingency of junior and youth players, approximately 700 participants, playing in male and female teams in the NPL, Community teams and MiniRoos.

We’re looking for passionate and committed coaches to join our GVYPL U15 & Pre-GVYPL U12 Girls Programs for the 2027 season.

As our female program continues to grow and evolve, 2027 is shaping up to be an exciting year, with the changes to the CPL league structure to GVYPL, expected to create even more coaching opportunities across our pathway.

Whether you’re an experienced coach or looking to begin your coaching journey, we’d love to hear from you and welcome you to be part of a supportive environment dedicated to developing the next generation of female footballers.

Caroline Springs George Cross FC is excited to open our 2027 Player EOI.

We are currently in the process of preparing our program for 2027 with the view that we will once again participate in YPL Division 1 with our men’s program playing in NPLM.

After an incredible year, our Senior Women have officially been promoted from State League 1 to VPL!

The next chapter begins and we are looking for players to come and join us.

We’ve got a great program, great coaches, a great group of people, and we’re so excited to take the next step together.

With VPL being the highest level of football in our female program, we’re looking for players who are ready for the challenge, want to continue developing and want to be part of a program that is only getting started.

Looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated head and assistant coach to coach our U16 team at the highest level of youth football in Victoria.

Interested coaches must be well educated on modern football, player education and youth communication. C Diploma or higher required to be considered for the role.

Our YPL program is built and modeled on professional academies. Any interest coaches must show a desire to challenge themselves, develop players, work closely with Technical Director and other coaching staff.

⚽ COACHING OPPORTUNITY | U20 NPLM ASSISTANT COACH – 2027

Caroline Springs George Cross FC is seeking an experienced Assistant Coach to join our U20 NPLM coaching team for the 2027 season.

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable coach who can work within a high performance senior football environment and contribute to the continued development of players progressing toward senior football.

Requirements:
• Minimum Football Australia C Licence
• Previous coaching experience in MNPL, NPL, YPL or another advanced/high-performance football environment
• Strong understanding of player development and modern coaching principles
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and broader senior football department
• Professional, committed and reliable
• Strong communication and player-management skills

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious coach looking to gain further experience within an established NPLM senior football program and player pathway.
