⚾ COMMUNITY UMPIRING COURSE – GWBA MEMBERS FREE ⚾

Greater Western Baseball Association is proud to host a 2026 Community Umpiring Course in partnership with NSW Baseball Umpires Association.

This is the perfect entry-level course for local junior coaches, Junior League players and Senior League players who want to better understand the game, learn the basics of umpiring and help give back to their local clubs by supporting junior competition games.

You do not need to be an experienced umpire. This course is designed to help participants build confidence, understand the rules more clearly and develop the basic skills needed to assist with local junior baseball.

📅 Date: Sunday 30 August 2026
🕣 Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
📍 Location: Monfarville Reserve, Monfarville Street, St Marys NSW 2760
💲 Course Fee: $35

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

✅️ Junior coaches who want a better understanding of umpiring basics
✅️ Junior League and Senior League players wanting to give back to their clubs
✅️ Parents, volunteers and club members interested in supporting junior games
✅️ Anyone aged 12+ who wants to learn more about umpiring baseball

REQUIREMENTS
🙋‍♂️️ Minimum age: 12 years
📝 Participants aged 18+ require a valid Volunteer Working With Children Check
👨‍💻 Complete the Community Officiating Essential Skills Course before attending
👩‍💻 An online test is required after the on-field course to receive certification
