One of my favourite ways to start the day, when I get the opportunity, is heading down to the beach while it’s still dark and doing a bit of stretching, yoga and meditation as the sun comes up. 🌅
There’s something pretty amazing about feeling the sand underneath you, listening to the ocean, and slowly watching the sun rise.
And no two sunrises ever seem to be the same.
The colours change. The clouds are different. Even the sun itself can look completely different from one morning to the next.
I’ve always been an early riser and definitely more of a morning person, so this is probably my favourite time of day.
It’s quiet. Peaceful. No distractions.
Just a bit of movement, fresh air, the sound of the ocean, and some time to clear the head before the day begins.
Pretty hard to beat. 💙

This is what the right type of age-smart training can do. 💙
Yes, looking better physically is a great side benefit.
But for me, the bigger win is making sure your life doesn’t slowly become smaller as you get older.
This client puts it perfectly.
✔ More strength and energy on the tennis court
✔ Being able to do Pilates exercises she couldn’t do before
✔ More energy throughout the day
These are the wins that have a massive impact on your quality of life.
To me, it’s about continuing to do the things you enjoy, feeling capable in your body, and not accepting that you should be able to do less and less with every passing year.
The goal isn’t just to look fitter.
It’s to keep living fully — with the strength, confidence, and energy to keep saying yes to life.
That’s what training for life is really about. 💪

This is one of my favourite places to come for a walk, and we were fortunate enough to get an absolutely magnificent day weather-wise.
The ocean was clear, the sun was out, and there was barely a cloud in the sky.
To make it even better, we spotted quite a few whales splashing around, then watched a large pod of dolphins riding the waves not too far from shore. They looked like they were enjoying the day just as much as we were. 🐋🐬
Always nice to step away from the usual routine, spend some time outdoors with my wife, and take in a place like this.
It’s funny how often the simple things are the ones that reset you the most.
Fresh air.
Nature.
Movement.
Good company.
Definitely one of those afternoons where everything just lined up perfectly. 💙

Love reading messages like this from clients... 💙
After staying committed to healthier eating, reducing sugar, and focusing on her overall health, this client has gone from 104kg to 99.1kg.
That means she’s cracked under 100kg for the first time since 2020.
And that sort of milestone matters.
Because when you break through a barrier that’s been sitting there for years, it does something for your confidence.
You start to believe you can do it.
You build momentum.
And you naturally want to keep making better choices with your food, movement, activities, and recovery.
That’s the part I love seeing most.
Not just the weight loss.
But someone feeling better, stronger, and more in control of their health again.
Small wins create big changes. 💪

Olive has officially joined the Three Year Club at TBFT! 💪💚
Over the past three years, we’ve watched Olive build strength, confidence and mobility through a lot of consistent effort.
She originally started training to prepare for a hip replacement and was back exercising just three weeks after surgery with a carefully modified program.
Since then, she’s continued to make fantastic progress and has always been willing to do what her body needs.
Olive brings such a positive attitude to her training, and she’s an absolute pleasure to coach.
Olive, thank you for your trust, your consistency and the lovely energy you bring to TBFT. You should feel very proud of how far you’ve come. 🙌
Drop a 💪💚 for Olive!

Training doesn’t always have to be serious. 💪💚
Here’s Olive and our studio trainer Luke, putting their balance to the test and having a bit of fun along the way.
One of the things we value most at TBFT is the relationship between our clients and trainers.
It’s about more than counting reps. It’s building trust, knowing when to challenge someone, understanding what their body needs and creating an environment where they feel comfortable being themselves.
Olive’s worked incredibly hard over the past three years, especially through her hip replacement journey, and it’s fantastic to see her moving with confidence and enjoying her training.
Great work, Olive and Luke! 🙌

One of the best wins we see at TBFT is when training starts fitting into real life, not just the easy weeks. 💙
This client travelled to QLD, kept up her training, came home feeling fitter and stronger, returned to clinical Pilates, and has been consistently hitting 10,000 steps a day.
That’s the kind of progress that matters.
Not perfection.
Not going all in for two weeks and burning out.
Just building the consistency, strength, and confidence to keep looking after yourself — even when life gets busy.
Because that’s what sustainable health is really about.
Creating habits that travel with you through holidays, work, family, and all the unexpected things life throws your way.
Very proud of this effort 👏

Proud dad moment. 💙
This is my 15-year-old son just before his walkout for an amateur boxing match.
It’s a strange feeling watching your young fella step into something that takes real mental strength.
I was proud, nervous, and excited all at once.
I’ve watched him excel at plenty of sports and martial arts, so I know what he’s capable of, but the nerves still kick in when it’s your own child stepping into a challenge.
More than anything, I’m proud of him for being willing to put himself in that position.
To train.
To prepare.
To test himself.
And to perform under pressure.
Those moments build so much more than physical ability. They build confidence, resilience, discipline, and the belief that you can handle difficult things.
Very proud of you mate. 👊
