Appreciation Post.

In 1628, John Pym stood before the Parliament of England with a simple truth: “Actions are more precious than words.” He was fighting for accountability against empty promises. Actions speak louder than words. Then. Now. Always.

Our valued club member Pino Tino is taking a break from committee life at Plenty Cricket Club, and we want to formally say a huge “thank you”. We couldn’t let it go unnoticed.

You’ve been the heartbeat of this club in ways that go far beyond titles. You swung the willow with pride, captained with passion, and gave everything on the field. But it’s off the field where your real legacy lives.

You wrapped your arm around every junior who walked onto the turf, believed in them when they doubted themselves, and helped shape not just their cricket but their character. You were there for the highs, the lows, the celebrations, the guidance, and the lbws when umpiring! 😉

You handled the unglamorous work, the stuff that happens behind closed doors that most will never know about, but that keeps a club running. You showed us all what it means to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

So, thank you and see you around the pavilion this year.
