What a fantastic day it was at the 2026 VFBV District 14 Rural Championships on Saturday 14th March!

CFA volunteers from across District 14 and from areas across the state came together for a fun twilight event starting at 1400 and wrapping up around 1730. It was great to see everyone competing, cheering, and enjoying the free food (gluten-free sausages for all, plus limited vegetarian options).

This event doesn't just happen—it's the result of a dedicated team working together year-round. A huge thank you to the entire VFBV District 14 Competition Committee for your hard work, both in the lead-up and on the day. You're a great group of individuals who make everything run smoothly and keep the spirit alive.

Everyone on the committee contributes in their own way—planning, organising, fixing gear, coordinating, and stepping up when needed—to create a day that celebrates CFA skills, teamwork, and community. Your ongoing effort over many years is what makes these championships special and sustainable.

We're already looking forward to highlighting more of the committee's roles throughout the year to keep the interest and momentum going.
