With bad weather forecast tomorrow we are bringing Social Bowls forward to Wednesday this week!

Join us this Wednesday evening at the Perth Bowling Club for a relaxed and enjoyable night of social bowls.

Financial Ordinary Members and Life Members of the Perth Bowling & Recreation Club Inc. are invited to attend the Club’s 2026 Annual General Meeting.

Members interested in helping shape the future direction of the Club are encouraged to nominate for an Office Bearer position. Nomination Forms are available from the Club or on the Club website.

Completed nominations must be emailed or returned to the Club by close of business on Monday, 3 August 2026. Late nominations cannot be accepted.

Please note that only financial Ordinary Members and Life Members are eligible to participate in the nomination and election process. If you wish to upgrade your membership please email [email protected]

We encourage all eligible members to attend and have their say in the future of our Club.

Presented by Perth Folk and Roots Club and supported by the City of Perth.

Join us on Thursday July 9th from 6pm for a fantastic night of live music at Perth Bowling & Recreation Club, 2 Plain Street, East Perth.

This month we’re featuring:

🎸 Retro Junkies – a Perth rock and blues band playing classic rock/blues songs, with all members bringing decades of playing experience.

🪕 Up and Adam – a local Western Australian claw hammer banjo player influenced by old time, mountain style, traditional American folk and roots music.

Today we’re celebrating Indy, President Peter’s much-loved dog and one of the true personalities of the club! 🐾

Indy does a wonderful job helping run the club in her own special way — meeting and greeting everyone who comes down, making members and visitors feel welcome, and of course lending a paw with food tasting duties whenever required. 😄

She loves being at the club, enjoys chasing the greens roller, and is always very happy to collect plenty of pats and attention along the way.

If you see Indy at the club, make sure you wish her a Happy 10th Birthday and give her a pat from all of us! 🐶🎂

We’ve rolled out the welcome mat… literally. 😄

Perth Bowling Club’s entrance has had a fresh little update with a brand new welcome mat — because every great club visit should start with a stylish step.

We’re also getting new air conditioning installed this week, so over the next few days please just mind any tradies’ gear around the place.

Opening hours remain unchanged, so we’ll be open as usual.

Thanks for your patience while we keep making the club more comfortable, welcoming and cool — in every sense of the word. 😎

Perth Folk and Roots Club is back in central Perth with the Tatts Folk and Roots Series — a free live music event at Perth Bowling & Recreation Club this Thursday, 11 June 2026.

Supported by Perth Bowling Club, this special evening also recognises the important contribution music makes to mental wellbeing, with Perth Folk and Roots Club working alongside Act Belong Commit.

This month features two fantastic acts:

🎤 Cooper Jones
A five-piece acoustic chamber project led by Perth music stalwarts Myki Jones and Marshall Cooper, featuring Eleanor Weatherby and Aaron Soppo. Cooper Jones have recently been performing in Geraldton at Batavia Brewing and Blue Heelers Square.

🎸 Mike Cardy
An acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter who has released five albums, with influences ranging from Jimmy Page and Neil Young through to Mark Knopfler.

Come along, enjoy a great night of live music, and support local performers in the heart of Perth.

What an incredible result from Boydies Bowls & Boozy Breakfast, with an amazing turnout of great people & $5,196.70 raised for MND WA in support of our mate Stephen Boyd.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success — those who donated online or at the event, bought MND merch and raffle tickets, donated prizes, got fined for a few wayward bowls, and contributed in so many different ways.

Your generosity, spirit and support made it a fantastic day for the club and, more importantly, helped raise vital funds for MND WA.
