Here’s some video of a recon lap of The Panther course from a couple of years ago. It’s a nice course easily completed on a gravel bike (or MTB) and far more interesting than a cruise on the Heritage Trail. My fastest lap (~4km) was just under 9 minutes, however others have done it closer to 8 minutes. I’m looking forward to having another crack at it. Cheers, Paul

The Panther – Sunday 30th August

Reminder that ATTAs only gravel race of the year is back again on Sunday 30th August at Langford Park in Jarrahdale. Entries close on Thursday August 27 at 6pm. You can enter now at https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=428746

This is an excellent, fast and flowing balance of climbing and distance on an open trail with lots of places for passing. The Panther is open to any form of CX / Gravel or MTB with each lap being 4km for a total distance of 20km. Could be an excellent hit out for anyone riding the Worlds, with several other excellent tracks in the area to increase your milage following a full on TT ride.

Additionally, we still need 3 more volunteers to be able to run the event. If you can help please let us know at [email protected] If you are riding, and have a friend or family member attending, the volunteer roles put them in wonderful viewing locations.

Get ready for The Panther on Sunday, 30 August, ATTA's annual gravel challenge at Langford Park, Jarrahdale. Expect a quick, flowing 4 km loop with climbs, open lines and plenty of passing zones - five laps, 20 km total, open to CX, Gravel and MTB bikes.

We recommend arriving early to ride a warm-up lap and get familiar with the circuit. Once racing begins, practice laps are not permitted.

Parking and registration are located at the main paved carpark at Langford Park. Please take care at the roundabout, as riders may be crossing. This venue is ideal for spectators and families, with plenty of space to enjoy the morning, so bring your supporters along.
