50 GAMES FOR MITCH!

A huge congratulations to Field Umpire Mitch on reaching 50 WAFL games!

After making his WAFL debut in Round 5 2022 Mitch has continued to make his mark both on and off the field.

With 8 years of service, the 2025 Most Improved Award recipient and three years as Social Secretary, this milestone is a fantastic recognition of Mitch’s commitment to the WANFLUA.

Scott McPhee, Heritage Number 143, is our latest Ball Legend, recognised for an outstanding contribution to umpiring and an exceptional career at the highest level of WAFL football.

Scott was a WANFLUA member from 2004–2015, making his WAFL League debut in Round 1, 2007.

150 League Games

Congratulations to Cam Jones, who will tonight reach the milestone of 150 league games. (61 AFL games, 67 WAFL Games, and 21 VFL Games)

Beginning his umpiring journey in the East Fremantle Junior District before progressing through the WAFL ranks, Cam has gone on to achieve success at both WAFL and AFL levels, including a WAFL Grand Final appointment and the 2022 Montgomery Medallist.

150 AFL Games

Huge congratulations to Sean Moylan, on reaching the milestone of 150 AFL matches yesterday in the AFL Round 22 Sydney Swans vs Port Adelaide.

Sean's umpiring journey began in 2010 with the East Fremantle District Junior Umpires, before progressing through the WAFL and onto the AFL stage.

Sean made his AFL debut in Round 3, 2018, officiating West Coast v Geelong, and racked up 100 AFL games in early 2024.

His WAFL career was highlighted by selection for the 2015 and 2016 WAFL League Grand Finals, along with representing Western Australia in State Games in 2016 and 2017.

Sean's performances were also recognised with back-to-back John Devine Medals (Boundary Umpire of the Year) in 2016 and 2017.

300 WAFL League Games

A remarkable milestone for Rob McCaw, who will reach 300 WAFL League games today, umpiring Round 18 Perth v Peel.

With 21 years of service across 2005–07 and 2009–2026, Rob has built an outstanding career since joining the WAFL ranks and making his League debut in 2010, Round 14, officiating Peel v South Fremantle at Anniversary Park in Rockingham.

Rob's career highlights include a 2022 WAFL League Grand Final, becoming the 54th WANFLUA Field Umpire to officiate a League GF, as well as representing Western Australia in the 2022 State Game against South Australia at Optus Stadium.

His achievements also include the 2011 Ross Capes Medal for Pre-Season Field Umpire of the Year and the 2011 Craig Hendrie Medal for Most Improved Umpire of the Year.

Beyond his on-field achievements, Rob has made a significant contribution to the association, serving two years on the WANFLUA General Committee (2012–13) and being recognised as a WANFLUA Life Member in 2020.

200 League Games

A massive congratulations to Daniel Johanson on reaching the outstanding milestone of 200 League games last Friday, AFL round 21 Fremantle v Bulldogs

Since joining the WAFL umpiring in 2014, Daniel has built an exceptional career, making his League debut in 2016 and earning selection for the 2019 WAFL League Grand Final.

His 200 League games are made up of 120 AFL matches and 80 WAFL League matches, making him just the 30th field umpire and the 71st WANFLUA member to reach the prestigious 200 League game milestone.

Congratulations, Daniel, on an incredible milestone. We wish you all the best as your umpiring journey continues!

50 AFL Games

Congratulations to Luke Graves today on reaching the milestone of 50 AFL games.

Luke's journey through the WAFL was one of consistency, earning appointments to five consecutive WAFL League Grand Finals (2019–2023) before taking the next step in his career.

In 2024, Luke relocated to Queensland after being offered an AFL contract. Since then, he has continued to build his career at the elite level.
