As we kick off the new financial year, we’d like to welcome in a few new playing members to Manning Memorial for the upcoming season

Paul and Sue Carlile have moved from Brisbane (Where they played at Northern Suburbs) back to Perth for work reasons and joined the club, and a big welcome to Callum Alberti transferring from Osborne Park, having recently been selected for the Open Men’s State team alongside our own Warren Holt, David Downey and Scott Walker!

On Monday, 22nd June the Rotary Club of Como awarded David Nester with a "Pride of Workmanship Award".

This award is designed to acknowledge an employee who, in the eyes of their employer, displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and commitment to their job.

David is the lawn bowls greenkeeper for the Manning Bowling Club .

After just shy of a year and with only 5 cards remaining, and on one of the biggest Friday nights we’ve had here in years with the ever popular roast dinners, the $10,000 Chase The Ace has finally been won, and congratulations to long time regulars Gayle Elkington and Trish Stampalija who were lucky enough to have their ticket pulled out and plucked the Ace of Spades out of the top row!

Congratulations ladies, a very popular win, and amazingly it’s the second time Gayle and Trish have pulled off a $10,000 Chase The Ace win - They were the first 10 grand winners way back on October 30, 2020!
