Sting Award 2025 🦂

This year’s recipient of our sting award is a shining example of commitment, passion, and maturity well beyond their years.

Despite still being in school, they have already given so much to our club, not only as a dedicated coach and a reliable umpire.

Balancing school, sport, and volunteering is no easy task. They’ve become a valued part of our Scorpions family, and their contribution continues to grow.

Scorpions Netball Club rewards and recognise with Life Membership those individuals who have made a significant, sustained and lasting contribution within the club.

We wish to congratulate Amanda Green in recognition of her outstanding and unwavering commitment to the club since joining.

Amanda has served as our dedicated Umpiring Coordinator, consistently ensuring every game is covered by finding and supporting umpires each week often stepping in herself at the last minute when needed. 

Her passion for mentoring has helped develop countless umpires, building strong and lasting relationships along the way.

Amanda has also generously given her time as a coach over multiple seasons, including two years leading our Net program, and spent four years on the court as a player. 

Beyond game day, Amanda’s behind the scenes contributions are invaluable, from organising, washing, and storing equipment to playing a key role in fundraising efforts and coordinating milestone celebrations on game day.

We’re finally getting around to wrapping up what was an incredible season of netball for our Scorpions! 💚🖤

In true Noranda fashion we got four seasons in one day, tough conditions and some brilliant contests across the board. We walked away with 4 premierships and 1 runner-up finish and we could not be prouder. 💚🖤

A massive congratulations to our players, coaches, assistant coaches, managers and supporters. Your dedication and commitment to our club never goes unnoticed. 🙌
