A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am in Central Park, Aveley. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.
parkrun (http://www.parkrun.com/) is a not-for-profit organisation established in the United Kingdom in 2004 to provide a free, weekly, timed 5km running event to every community that wants one. There are now over 220 events worldwide with more than 30,000 runners participating every Saturday morning. Events are organised by local volunteers with support from parkrun.

If you've been considering volunteering Barcode Scanner is a great way to start. We're here to help, so please get in touch to join the team.
If you're a budding photographer and would like some moving target practice we'd love to welcome you.

What a great morning for a walk or run in the park with friends!
Thank you for celebrating our 13th Anniversary. We had lots of cowboy hats and checked shirts and even a horse (dog) with a rider! A big well done to those who danced the line dance - hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Thank you to all the volunteers this morning - Dave, Chloe, Tom, Rodney, Shauni, Maddison, Nic, Janet, Leanne, Louis and Tracey.
Congratulations to those of you who celebrated a parkrun milestone - 25 runs for Jett, Pardon and Abbie, 50 for Kim and Cait and 250 for Janet!
Thanks to Kate and Claire for the themed playlist, it was a great idea for the runners, walkers and volunteers to play whilst participating!
Welcome to the first timers - we hope you enjoyed your first Aveley parkrun and come back soon.
Congratulations to all who got a PB today, but most of all, a big thank you to everybody who makes Aveley parkrun the great event it is!

The birthday celebration started with a line dance to warm up before our parkrun! Congratulations Aveley parkrun with your 13th birthday! Well done to all the participants today.
