🌟 Wiggles 'n' Giggles at Belmont! 🌟

We recently had the pleasure of hosting the City of Belmont's Wiggles 'n' Giggles program at the centre, and it was fantastic to see so many local families getting involved! 🎉

Designed for young children and their caregivers, Wiggles 'n' Giggles encourages active play, movement, learning, and social connection in a fun and welcoming environment. From dancing and games to interactive activities, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and energy throughout the session. 🤸‍♀️🎵😊

Programs like these play an important role in helping children develop confidence, coordination, and a love of being active, while also providing opportunities for families to connect with others in the community.

A big thank you to the City of Belmont and everyone who joined us. We loved being part of this wonderful community initiative and look forward to seeing more families enjoying future sessions!

It’s not every day that a Paralympic champion walks through our doors!

Today, we were thrilled to welcome former Australian Paralympian Joshua Hofer to the centre, where he completed a 400m swim as part of his ambitious quest to earn a place in the Guinness World Records by swimming 400 metres at 30 aquatic centres across Perth. 💪🏅It was Joshua 28 / 30 centre.

Joshua’s achievements are nothing short of extraordinary. At the 1992 Paralympic Games in Spain, he won an amazing 11 medals for Australia — including 5 gold 🥇, 4 silver 🥈, and 2 bronze 🥉 medals!

His determination, resilience, and passion for swimming continue to inspire people of all ages, and we were honoured to be a part of his journey today. Our staff, members, and visitors loved having the opportunity to meet such an accomplished athlete and hear about his remarkable challenge.

👏 Please join us in wishing Joshua the very best as he continues his record-breaking journey across Perth. We can't wait to see him achieve his goal!
