Yesterday we celebrated an incredible milestone as Paul Ross marked 60 years of membership at WAGC.

Six decades of friendship, commitment and wonderful memories—an outstanding achievement. Congratulations, Paul! 👏⛳️

⛳️ Two recent highlights from our ladies’ calendar 🏆

On Thursday 6 August, Ladies Director Marjorie Dohnt hosted seven past Ladies’ Presidents and Directors for the Ladies Director Trophy. Congratulations to Vice-President and past Ladies’ President to Lorenz Thornton, who won with 39 Stableford points, ahead of runner-up Judith Holm. 👏

On Thursday 13 August, the ladies contested the Marjorie Sinclair Cup—a unique event where players carry the flag until they run out of strokes. Congratulations to our 2026 winner, Sue Jackson, who carried the flag all the way to the 19th green! 🎉

Applications for the WAGC Women’s Membership Program are closing soon, with the eight-week program beginning next week.

Designed for women ready to take the next step beyond lessons, the program will help you build confidence, develop practical on-course skills and feel prepared to step into Club and competition golf.

With guidance from WAGC golf professionals and Club representatives, you’ll learn more about scoring, rules, etiquette, course care, pace of play and course management before putting everything into practice through guided nine-hole play.

You’ll also meet other women, make new connections and experience the social and membership side of life at WAGC.

Thinking about becoming a member, but not quite ready to take that step on your own? This welcoming 8-week program is designed for women who are ready to move beyond beginner lessons and take the next step into club golf.

Participants will build confidence on course while learning more about golf etiquette, scoring, rules, course care, pace of play and the pathway into membership.

Two groups are available, with only 8 spots in each group. Places are limited, so we encourage you to apply early before spots fill up.
