Surfing Western Australia was established in 1964 and is regarded by the Department of Sport and Recreation as one of WA's major sporting organisations.

For over 40 years Surfing WA has been the governing body for all forms of surfboard riding within WA.

Day two at the 27th Lavan Whalebone Longboard Classic 🐋🦴

Despite a drop in swell and overcast skies, there was still plenty of stylish surfing on show in Cottesloe.

The event’s namesake also made an appearance cruising just beyond the lineup 🐋

The 27th Lavan Whalebone Longboard Classic is underway, with fun little waves, sunshine and our biggest field of competitors ever making for a great opening day in Cottesloe.
