Halia Edwards (Royal Perth) and Jonathan Hong (The Western Australian Golf Club) lead the way after Round 1 of the Junior Masters of WA ⛳

Halia was level par for her round today to take a one-shot lead in the girls' championship, while Jonathan is two clear in the boys' event. There are loads of top golfers within a few shots, though, so tomorrow could be a frantic day!

There aren't many nicer places to get a first taste of golf than The Cut, and we're happy to report the 40+ women and juniors who attended seemed to have a whale of a time!

Thanks to PGA pros Harley Snelson and Harry Hardingham for running the sessions, and to the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport for the funding and their on-going support of regional golf 👏👏👏
