Name that vegetable plucked straight from the garden! 🌱 So I had thought I was planting “pink kale” from seed but out came these little beauties! I’m a novice gardener obviously with a lot to learn but I’m loving having a veggie patch and super fresh nutritious veggies and fruits to cook with.
This little veggie is a kohlrabi, those in the UK will probably know these already, part of the brassica family and a good source of Vitamin C and fibre.
I just cut it into chunks and roast it like I would potatoes with a bit of olive 🫒 oil and gluten free herb salt. They’re also apparently easy to grow, well if I can!
If anyone has any yummy recipes with kohlrabi, let us all know!
My brave little chicken took a look at where she wanted to go, saw Blue in the grass, knew it was a scary mission and went for it anyway! She took a leap of faith and got there safely! Believe you can and you’ll get there!

Healthy eating doesn’t need to be fancy! Keep things simple with easy to find ingredients. This is a gluten free and fresh olive oil and veggie omelette, avocado with tamari toasted pepitas and almonds. Mix your eggs with some olive oil for a puffy and crispy omelette, filled with mushrooms, capsicum, spinach or any of your favourites. Pre roast some almonds and pepitas for 15 mins on a low heat with tamari or gluten free soy sauce (do some extras for snacking later). Add a drizzle of good quality olive oil to your avocado and top with the nuts and seeds.
