Southern River HC would like to extend a huge thank you to Stott H***e for their generous support in upgrading and modernising our club's internet and data infrastructure.

Thanks to their contribution of equipment and the expertise of their team, our club now has a significantly improved network that enhances the performance of our live-streaming camera, security systems, scoreboard, and club Wi-Fi. These upgrades will benefit our members, volunteers, and visitors for years to come.

A special thank you to Dean Hunt for organising the project and to Michael Kirou, who dedicated many hours onsite to complete the installation and ensure everything was running smoothly. Your professionalism, time, and commitment to our club are greatly appreciated.

That's a wrap on another week of hockey!

As we head into the mid-season break, we'd like to thank all of our players, coaches, managers, officials, volunteers and supporters for their commitment throughout the first half of the season.

We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned break, takes the opportunity to rest and recharge, and comes back ready for an exciting second half of the season.

🏑 Weekend Fixtures 🏑

It's another big weekend of hockey for our senior teams as we head into the school holidays!

With our junior competitions taking a well-earned break over the holidays, all eyes are on our senior teams as they take the field this weekend.

Best of luck to all our players, coaches, managers, officials and volunteers. Play hard, enjoy your hockey, and represent the Hawks with pride!

We'd love to see plenty of blue and gold on the sidelines, so if you can, get along and support our teams.

Southern River HC is proud to confirm the signing of LeBron James for the remainder of the 2026 season with Lebron now a free-agent.

After extensive negotiations (and one very persuasive group chat), LeBron has committed to bringing his “championship experience” to the club, along with reportedly requesting:

- Extra-large jersey sizing
- Guaranteed post-match sausage sizzle access
- And clarification on whether Thursday training is “optional but encouraged”

Club spokesperson stated:
“We didn’t expect this to happen either. One minute we were discussing lineups, next minute LeBron is asking who’s got the best drag flick in the club.”

He will wear #6 (pending approval from the captain who’s still processing this information) and is expected to debut once he finishes his “intro to Australian Field Hockey” session.

Welcome to the club, LeBron. The 2026 season just got wildly interesting.........

(I think admin has gone rogue again, Lebron doesn't play hockey!)
