🏆 Annual Challenge Ladder Finals Day 🏆

Today we held the annual Challenge Ladder Finals Day at Forrest Park Croquet Club — and what a fantastic day it was! 🎉

A huge thank you to our wonderful sponsor, Beaucott Property – #1 in Mt Lawley, for supporting this amazing competition, which runs every year from October through to August.

The finals saw three groups of four battle it out in the playoffs:

What a great weekend at the annual Forrest Park Croquet Club Championship! 🎉

Day 1 treated us to beautiful weather, while Day 2 started off very wet, with everyone needing their wet weather gear. Thankfully, the rain cleared and it turned into a lovely afternoon.

Congratulations to our overall champion, Torben Bak! 🏆 A big well done also to runner-up Mark Johnson, and John Gartner for finishing in 3rd place.

Thanks to everyone who played and helped make it another fantastic championship. Looking forward to next year

Despite a small turnout, our Forrest Park Croquet Club Christmas in July event was a wonderful day! With only a small crew attending, we decided everyone would bring a plate to share—and what a great decision that was. The food was delicious, with plenty of tasty treats for everyone to enjoy.

Of course, we also got out on the lawns for a few games of croquet, and with fantastic weather to top it all off, it made for a relaxed and enjoyable day. Thanks to everyone who came along and helped make it such a great Christmas in July celebration!

What a fantastic week at the 76th Australian AC Championship! 🌞
The Women’s Singles Plate event is being played here at the stunning Forrest Park Croquet Club in WA, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. With matches held across four venues, it’s been an incredible showcase of skill and sportsmanship all week.
A huge thank you to the tournament managers, referees, groundsmen, hoop setters plus the catering helpers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this event such a success. 👏

We’ve kicked off the new year with our new groundsman on board, and wow — the lawns are looking the best they ever have. They’re running super true, honestly never been so precise.

If you’ve ever thought about giving croquet a go, now’s a great time to come down and have a hit!

What a fantastic day we had celebrating together! The weather was perfect, the company was even better, and the food was absolutely amazing — thank you Gerry and Nancy for putting on such a wonderful spread! 🍽️👏
It was great to share the day with our fellow club members, full of laughs, good cheer, and plenty of festive spirit. And a big shout-out to everyone who pitched in to help clean up afterwards — true team effort! 🙌

While our President has been temporarily living in New Zealand for the past few months, his passion for croquet hasn’t slowed one bit.
Today, he won the Otago competition, lowered his handicap to 2, and rose to number one in Otago—just another day in the life of Richard Lobb.
