People are often scared to Volunteer as the Time Keeper or Finishing Tokens roles as they feel like there is too much pressure as the large crowds of participants cross the line.

A few Saturday’s ago I got to experience these two wonderful ladies do an outstanding job a Bibra Lake parkrun.

Timekeeper Brigitte and Finishing Tokens Christine, were both doing their roles only for the fourth time. The communication between the two insured that everyone got the correct time and no one was missed.

On Saturday 8th of August, the two of them gave me the impression that they were seasoned parkrun veterans!

Well Done Ladies!

Go on, Volunteer and give the Time Keeper and Finishing Token roles a go.

The Return of:

Air Time. Hang Time. High Jump. Super Jump.

Saturday 12th September 2026

This time, theres extra pressure for Matt Brennan as this event will coincide with his 500th parkrun.

Come celebrate this special milestone for Matt by wearing Blue and bringing your best attempt to hang in the air.

Matt thought he owned the air space at Bibra Lake parkrun but last year he was dethroned by our very own parkrun regular, Rose.

Just before the 4km mark, is your opportunity to dethrone Rose and to challenge Matt, to get Air Bourne and we’ll have a camera ready to get the proof!

Below are some of the brilliant air time photos from last years event as well as some brilliant jumps from Matt.
